...Dropped in there, and registered and posted there, first. THEN, I was recruited offa UHD to go to Skiffy (SciFi.com, now not the shiniest place to be) to join up for the Wreck or Repair game, there.

Finally, after I got comfortable posting on message boards, I came back to FFF and registered. Now, ya'll can't get me to shut up. I've joined batches more Browncoat forums, since.

I started to watch the series as it aired. I thought "Train Job" was, frankly, not very good. It seemed a mis-match of genres thrown together with some clever dialog and good looking ladies to hold it together. I watched a few more episodes but then lost interest when I would try to tune in and get baseball or something else.

I didn't watch the movie until it was out on DVD, then was given the series box set a couple of year ago. I watched them all over one weekend, then went out and bought the BDM collectors edition. I have watched the series over and over since then.

To this day I still break out the DVD's and watch a few of my favorites. I'm glad DVD's don't wear out like VHS tapes, they would be dead now. LOL

I just finished my very own brown coat so I have some cool threads when I finally make it to a shindig.

I am a big fan and mourn the loss of a great program.

I found this site just looking for anything FF on the net. I have run FF tabletop RPGs based on the GURPS system.

I was onboard from the moment "Train Job" aired on Fox. One of the best decisions I ever made was to watch this show despite the "space hooker" line on the Firefly ad on Fox.

I bought the DvD boxset around the beginning of September 04.. Memory is a bit faded on the exact date.. But, I didn't join this site until mid Sept..

I had been following reader's emails in a sci-fi mag for a couple of months, (having been unaware of the show, despite being a fan of Joss Whedon's work.) There were a lot of vocal readers, who were kinda hard to ignore, and I'm SO glad that I didn't let it slide by.

I discovered Firefly 5 months ago after I watched Serenity on dvd. I am looking forward to these results. My guess would be that there are twice as many fans of Firefly that discovered FF after it was canceled, than those who saw it when it originally aired. But so far it looks about even.

I'm a veteran of the throes of cancellation.

I was pining severely for the recently canceled FarScape - anyone who thinks FOX is the serial killer of quality TV? HA! Again I say HA!

I saw this guy in the trailers for the series with an odd nose that went very well on his face and I thought... "I know him from somewhere."

I watched for those two reasons. Train Job felt awkward, but I couldn't figure out who the guy playing Captain Malcolm Reynolds was.

Watched Bushwacked, thought it was a little out there for a second episode. STILL couldn't figure out who the guy was.

Watched Our Mrs. Reynolds which was the BEST. That moment when Saffon says, but sir, I'm your wife." and Mal... *blinked* I was hooked.

And FINALLY thought of it. He was Johnny from Two guys and a Girl... only I still didn't know his real name. That was when I gave up and went to IMDb.

Had I gone to IMDb to start with and said ta heck with it after Train Job, I wouldn't be conversating with you fine individuals.
