Yay! First post! Anyway, on with the news:
"Firefly vet Nathan Fillion has been cast in the new ABC dramedy Castle to play a mystery author who helps the NYPD solve crimes. ...
What's it called? Murder, he wrote.
Hi, Vet! Good to see you here.
There've been a load of "Murder, He Wrote" jokes.
And "Castle" really being "King."
We can just hope there are opportunities for the
lovely Fillion snark, the lovely Fillion doofusness, the lovely Fillion slanty gunbelt
STOPSTOPSTOP {no gunbelts allowed in NY-based
premise} a little paw-porn here and there, and
the occasional deserving female to receive the
lovely Fillion attention. Would be just ironic
to cast Morena, Jewel, Summer, or Gina in guest
spots. Or all of them. At once. He heeeeeee!

ugh! WATER'S EDGE! Daniel Baldwin as one of the mains in a movie is usually a pretty clear indication of the quality of the film. Nathan Fillion is great of course...considering the relative crappiness of the material he has to work with. I found "White noise the light" difficult to watch too. Though most of the actors did a great job, some of the ideas could have been better developed...I suppose actors have to take what they can get work wise if they don't have a regular gig....kind of like the rest of us.

Waitress is still my fave for Filliony goodness outside the 'verse.
What's your best guesses for the obligatory Firefly reference subtly embedded in the pilot for our collective amusement?
Put me down for a dialogue reference: 'Don't be a big damn hero' or variation thereof.

You, ah, don't get to New York much, do you? Use gorramn' there and folks'll just back away slowly. If you're lucky. Probably f***ing saying something about all the f***ing weirdos in f***ing town.

It's good to see Nathan in demand, he more than deserves it.
How are our other favorite Crew members (ie, ALL of them) doing? I know about Summer and the SC Chronicles and I saw Morena and Adam in the Sands of Oblivion (on the respectable side of shadiness only because of their acting)...but I haven't heard anything about the rest.

Adam is in Chuck. Alan is doing a pilot for some comedy. Gina just had a baby and is busy with that. Morena is in some Stargate movies, and some other show I forget. Dunno about Sean.

Adam is fun-ny in Chuck! And I haveto say, I would love to see Gina's baby, it's probably the cutest!

I love my captain, but I won't watch Desperate Housewives. I understand, a fella's gotta pay his mortgage and vet bills, but a girl's gotta have her standards.
