I'll admit it. I have a problem. I dunno the correct name for it - Jayniac? Cobbnut?

But it doesn't hurt anyone, right? So it's all good...

(Goes back to contemplating AB...)

Adam dripping wet wearing a tuxedo as he emerges from a pool

MMmh'mmmmmmmmh'h'mmmmmmmmh'mmmh'mmmmmh'mmmmmm
*bun heats a stack of big, thick towels*

I keep thinking that was a callback to James Bond
in the first film with Sean Connery, though
Connery's tux seemed improbably dry.
Permaybehaps I am (eeek) wrong.

I find myself in Safe looking forward to Mal: Is it wrong that what she said makes sense to me? (something like that).

What is "NF's"? I don't know the reference.

I do know that Jubal Early, whom you correctly identified as an officer (general) in the U.S. Civil War, was the person who coined the term "Lost Cause" in his book by the same name. He was also one of the major players in the Battle of Gettysburg as chronicled in the book "The Killer Angels", which Whedon credits as the inspiration for Firefly.

Only when love and need are one
And the work is play for mortal stakes
Is the deed ever really done
For Heaven and the future's sake.

Nathan Fillion = NF.
Jubal Early is an ancestor of Nathan Fillion's, or NF's. mentioned several times above.
