You know your a Firefly Fan when.......

On your way to work, you drive by a sign that says 'Serenity Farm' and the first thing that pops into your head is, We're gonna try a barn swallow!

A few miles before that, you saw a sign that said 'Deaver Associates' and you momentarily freaked.

A few miles before THAT, you saw a license plate that said 'SHNON1' and thought for deadened sure it was short for 'Sihnon' until it disappointingly occurred to you that it was probably 'Shannon'.

All the way to work, back home, and everywhere you go, you're flaunting your chief fandom with a license plate that reads 'CAPNMAL.' (And you get in and out of your vehicle proudly boasting your brown coat and Browncoat/Serenity/Outlaw Sci-Fi t-shirts.)

Of 'interesting'
New meaning is nigh

CHANNAIN......I think it's pretty cool that you use Jeannette Lee for your avatar. I've been watching her play for years. Her black leather outfits, coupled with her fierce competitive ability, makes her the most enjoyable gal on the circuit.

Thanks! Jeanette Lee is a GODDESS. She's passionate about her play and an absolute joy to watch.

She has expressed a desire for acting as well, and considering that pool-playing is done in the 'verse, she would fit in quite well here.

Can you imagine Jayne watching her play?

You know you're a Firefly Fan when....

(first of all, I work in a research lab and so I have to wear gloves all the time, and they are blue or green)

While staring at a co-worker wearing blue gloves, you faintly chant "Two by two......hands of blue...." and then run away screaming.

Also, you know you are a Firefly Fan when you refuse to wear the blue gloves and insist that green ones in your size are ordered, even if there are already blue ones in your size....

your immediate response when you see someone teetering atop an unstable structure (this happened in the bf's machine shop, and i was there, of course) is "you're gonna fall and die and i'm not cleaning it up."

cavenoot: my bf still uses blue gloves to work on cars >< despite the strong firefly referencing.

I'm a fan and a teacher. I have a browncoat lanyard that I wear my keys to my classroom on, and when asked why I don't wear a school lanyard I promptly reply "I love my captain."

I have justified using Firefly in a lessonplan on Epic Heroes, converting a few more students to Firefly.

I can actually say in class "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal" and half the room roars like a dinosaur.

Take my faith, kill my belief, make me live just like a thief. True to mine I'll still be....you can't take the sky from me.

The other day in the company a private grabbed my browncoat mug, and I told him to keep his "Gorram hands off my mug". You should have seen the look on his face. Must have been thinking what language Gorram is. LOL

You know you are a flan when you see or hear the word "Flan" and you don't automatically think of your once-favorited dessert, one that I spent much time perfecting a recipe of -from scratch, mind you- and also the word flanvention has ceased to make you drool....

You know you are a Firefly fan when you look at your car every day and wish you had the time and painting talent to paint Mal and Inara across the hood ....

And finally you know you are a Firefly fan when you realize you have just read an entire page of testimonials of people who have found a happiness, a rag-tag family, and dare I say a religion all based off of an ill-fated TV show??? and even though I have long railled against FANatical anythings in favor of balance and reason...still, here I sit, at a most ungodly hour.... Proud to call myself a Firefly Flan and 'Verse Rebel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
