Does anyone know what the contents of the ship's log in Bushwhacked were? I can't seem to pause the DVD at the right place to read it and it's been driving me crazy.

it's probably like the assassins hand book in buffy; which was a nifty headline along the lines of 'religious cult leader as target' followed by the lyrics of Happiness is a warm gun by the Beatles!

my advice? go write the log yourself and post it to the BSR, definite fic potential!:)

Check out the transcripts - they can be found on-line (google 'em is easiest) There is a scary implication that the colonists are cargo, and are not going to have a happy life at the end of the voyage, a little Higgin's Moon in feeling.

I tried about three or four, each by a different person, but none of them mentioned what the log actually said. Do you have a link to a more detailed transcription?

I found this on IMDb. Don't know if it's accurate or not.

The episode "Bushwhacked", a passenger log on a computer screen is seen briefly. The entry on the screen reads as: "Passenger 4352 - Schultz, Sharon I received a communication regarding the shipment and have been apprised of the situation awaiting us upon arrival at the docking bay as well. I have been assured that every precaution has been taken to insure the safe arrival and expedient dispersion of said materials. All is under control. Will contact representative upon arrival. Passenger 4399 - Robinson, Johann Today, my darling, for the first time I regret embarking on this journey"

I think the 'items' are the colonists, who may have bought themselves a one-way ticket to indentured labour without realising it.

All those planets out there. So, that particular batch of air-filtering didn't work before...let's see what we can do with the water/processed foodstuffs/routine innoculations for travel...
