Hey, I've just found out I can post here again, so in honour I'm starting a new thread for the podcast - sorry peeps.

), I've been unable to update you all with happenings at Sending A Wave - the UK "Firefly"/"SERENITY" podcast. In fact the last show mentioned here was show 22 - we have now released a further 10 more.
I am going to update you all with regard to show 31 and our current show, number 32. In February this year, Andrew and I were able to be in LA where a couple of interviews were conducted and we got to hang out with the totally fabulous, SoCal Browncoats who allowed us to join them for a trip to the Diamond Ranch High School - better known to us as Miranda. We had a wonderful time finding the shooting locations used for "SERENITY".
One of the interviews was with PJ Haarsma, author of "The Softwire" and one half of the founders of the charity, Kids Need To Read and that interview is our show 32.

GOSH!!!! It has been a while since I posted here and was wondering whether to start a brand new thread - but thought better
The last time I posted, Sending A Wave was under 40 shows. We continued, are continuing and I am pleased to say that we will shortly be releasing our 116th show.
If you have stayed with us through our slight ups and downs you will know where we now are; to those that we may have lost along the way or brand new fans you can still find us on iTunes (search for Sending A Wave) and we can be found at sendingawave.wordpress.com
To give a brief background: the show is monthly and our emphasis is on the fans and what fans are up to. We like speaking with fans and anyone who is trying to do something that includes The Verse, be that musicians (Leaves on the Wind, Sean Faust, Marian Call), artists (Martin Firrell, John Mullaney, Jason Palmer), fan films (Mike Dougherty, Mark James), merchandise (QMx, Gale Force 9, Toy Vault), Can't Stop The Serenity organisers and Global Committee members and those who directly contributed to the show - Tim Minear, Nathan Fillion and Greg Edmonson - we're just trying to keep it alive.
Our soon-to-be-released show 116 covers the CSTS event in Leicester which we attended and we also speak with Nyssa from the 28th Fighting Swans Browncoat group in Grande Prairie, Alberta, about their CSTS event in September.

Trying to stay true to my word and also let readers know about when our shows are being released.
I finished editing all our content for August and found that we were long enough to be akin to a Peter Jackson flick, so we decided to split it into THREE shows. Not bad, huh?
Our first show for August is The One With Amy Pascale (show 117) which I think is a great chat with the author of "Joss Whedon - Geek King of the Universe" and I hope that we can get her back in the future to talk more because, this chat could have been A LOT longer than it was.
The second of the Trilogy is The Short Summer Show (show 118) which really is our main August show and we shamelessly plug the DragonCon panel next Saturday, speak with Mark Madeley, organiser of CSTS London 2014 and Browncoats at this year's UK Discworld Convention.
The last August show is The One With Phonic FM (show 119) and is due to be released on Friday 29 August - so stand by your beds for that! And if you live in the South-West of the UK, can get to Exeter easily and at a loose end on Saturday 30th August - then head to the Casa Maroc bar/restaurant for 7:30pm for a "Firefly Tribute Night" with music, comedy and more - £5 on the door. From my chat, I think anyone who goes are in for a fun evening.

In December, Matt Black, from The Browncoat Ball Steering Committee, joined us to discuss his questionnaire and we invited him back to talk about the findings. As you will hear, there was a lot to discuss and we hope that you find it as interesting as we did.
