Can't believe I'm risking alienated you folks, I agree with most of the 'real' anime like Cowboy Bepop, FMA and Princess Mononoke, but...
Please don't overlook The Avatar, just because it's a Disney product and shares a network with... I'm gonna be sick... Spongebob-
The Avatar and his 'Scoobies' are fun, but Prince Zuko and his uncle steal the show. Especially good short called, 'Iroh's Tale', IIRC.

Did somebody mention Planetes? Also Flag. And Castle of Cagliostro, the best Lupin the III yarn, by Mizaki, of course. First and second seasons of Ghost in the Shell, especially the Tachikomas and a Major Mokoto-centric episode, 'Affection'.

Definitely like Avatar. I didn't mention it because the thread seemed to be about movies not shows.
Also, M Night Shamyalan is doing a trilogy of live-action Avatar movies. The first one starts filming in June 2008, I believe.

This will be considered sacrilege to some, but I prefer the SAC series over the original movie, and really don't like "GITS: Innocence" at all.
Cowboy Bebop, the short lived series and the movie. Spike and Wash :(

"Animatrix" Almost as good as the movie, and better than the sequels!
Just about anything from PIXAR. Joss did write "Toy Story", and I also like "Cars", "The Incredibles", and "Monsters, Inc."
I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.

How was Ark of Truth(I did the same thing, only different 8-)? I didn't follow the last season very closely, and I heard that there's some optional recap on the disc.
I picked up Appleseed, instead of AoT, and two-for-one copies of Black Lagoon (Why, Geneon, why? I'll never be able to get a legal complete set of Samurai Champloo, now...) to make up a third complete set, compares well with the BDS, it does.
Glad to hear that Avatar, and Deathnote, are both going to be live-action. Deathnote, not as much.

"Ark of Truth" was awesome (though I'm a hardcore SG-1 fanboy, so I'm a guaranteed thumbs-up). There are a few eye-rolling moments, but considering how much fun it was, I'm willing to overlook/fanwank them away.
There is a recap on the disk, though I'd still recommend watching the last couple of seasons (the recap starts with Cam joining the team).

Been home on sick days and happened upon Jin-Roh:The Wolf Brigade. Great film. Mostly drama with some action and violence. Bust still a great movie nonetheless.
Gots mad skillz, loves playing with matches.
