Usually, voodoo rights involving snakes have live ones waived around as v respectful of their spirits and so I don't think it would not enjoy it.
I think I might get to own one when we have room but not gonna be for a couple of years as the move looks to be off.

I didn't know you were a reptile fan. What kind of snake would you like? Have you had one before? Corn snakes are best for a novice.

SpaceAnJL is in fact a mean lady. But not to snakes. I met a cute python once - it liked my wrists. Both of them. Didn't want to let go. Kind of a Repetitive Snake Injury...

I have not had my own unfortunately as I always though mum would say no and unfortunately only found out she was ok with it when my sister got a leopard gecko by which time it was too close to me going to uni for it ok to get a pet with which to leave with mum.
I think I knew corn snakes were the best novice snake but might just be falsely remembering after your say so. I hadn't really got past that as know I don't have space so haven't done my research. Hopefully, nothing involving crickets as I am lousy at catching them and usually end up killing twice the number I caught to feed sister's gecko.
The other reptiles I fancy are a chameleon as they are really cool but also v tricky sods to look after and a komodo dragon, which is pure whimsy and one of those if I had millions I would just buy the islands and protect them 
Loved the recent, Life in Cold Blood series but found it v sad how many species that had survived since dinosaur period were now under threat/only existed in zoos even after filming.
I really ought to do some work now.
