I know there's lots of good stuff that doesn't fit into the 'movie' category- Justice League Unlimited, Ben 10, and such, but I just can't sit down to a 20 minute toon for fun, I gotta have a, well, MOVIE feel to it, or close to it, anyway.

Yup on the lookout for Appleseed. Also Steamboy. There's something called Paprika which I have on order too that looks pretty nifty.

The first (well, second, since it's a remake) Appleseed is my absolute favourite action movie (and cemented Shinji Aramaki as my favourite action director). I haven't picked up the sequel yet just 'cause the past few weeks have had me running around like a headless creature.
Anything by Miyazaki also scores, though I have a particular fondness for Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away.
Titan A.E. is a Joss Whedon movie, so it should be a no-brainer to everyone here.
Until "Begins" came out, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker was my favourite Batman movie.
The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and Cars also deserve mentions, though I'm getting more than a little tired of Pixar's CGI replacing "real" animation (doesn't mean I won't be seeing Wall*E on opening weekend, though).
It pales before the ensuing series, but Ghost in the Shell deserves props for basically introducing American audiences to anime movies.
At the other end of the scale, The Powerpuff Girls Movie is also a personal favourite.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa is for FMA what Serenity is for Firefly, and may be the best and most definitive finale an anime series could hope for.

Never really got into the Anime/Manga scene although I appreciate the whole artistic side to it and some of the animation is just fantastic.
But I have seen a few so here's my list.

What are Superman: Doomsday and the Bats/Supes movie really like? I've heard about them and have some interest in watching them. Are they aimed at kids or are they more adult themed?

Superman: Doomsday is PG-13 (which, as the directors' commentary jokes, means he's got to drop trou').
It's half-decent, IMHO. I'm a huge fan of the Death of Superman arc of the comics, and the movie runs like a Pre-Crisis version (no Jonathan Kent, no Justice League or any other costumes at the funeral, the marginalization of Clark). It's basically Superman in isolation, whereas the main strength of the comics was the context of how everyone reacted to Doomsday. Take it as an "Elseworlds" story, though, and it's good.
Adam turns in a great performance as Superman (including the scenes where he's talking to himself), and Marsters' Luthor manages to be just as good as the JLU version.
