FF Table Top RPG: Unification

Every time I check the site, some one else is working on their own FireFly RPG.

Personally its getting annoying.

As I suggested monthes ago, I think that every one who honestly wants to make a quality Fire Fly Table top game should join forces.

Myself, I tryed desperatly to get people working with my on my own from-scratch RPG, but no one wanted to help. Alas most people expect me to have time to write this RPG up by myself quickly and some how with no strain on my life.
Well I cant. I made the ruels. I figured skills, character creation, all out out. One problem. No time.
Im moving soon
Its the end of the School year
And as much as I would like to wrk on a FF RPG, I cant decote myself to it, only help.

So, if there is any one who gives a S--- out there about making a new, (not just taking a system thats "similar" as there are about 97.3 of them, and none of them really do it justice) Role Playing system, and wish to work as a team to make this possible, please post.
I can put what little of my spare tiem I have into this, but please,
does any one else share my vision?

I think you've definitely got some company out here in regards to an RPG...unfortunately, I'm stuck with an existing system (Traveller T20), and I'm only doing computer RPG (NWN), albeit in tabletop style (DM'd).

So I think I'm not much help - but please understand, people do think Firefly RPG's are a GREAT idea, and definitely worth it! Good luck...I know it takes a rediculous amount of time to make such things.

I applaud your intentions of making a system custom-suited to Firefly, myself a veteran of my own home-boiled system some years ago. However, I think I fall into the camp of using one that is close as "good enough" and making mods where necessary. I lean pretty heavily toward story-telling/systemless games anyway so I'm less dependent on the actual rules base.

I think it is much more important to have a good 'Verse Bible to really capture the flavor of it all. The rules will come along.

Uhmn, Sorry to re-iterate, but since summer is starting and school will be out in two days for me, who is STILL interested, Id like to get this doen before the BDM if you know what I mean....

Gotta agree here. The feel of Firefly isn't going to be in the rules, it will be in the stories. To that end a style guide would do everyone far more good.
