Turns out the head pimp had an Israeli passport when he was arrested. Spitzer didn't actually pay for the $5,000/hour whores, they were comped by organized crime as bribes for services rendered. Spitzer's "poor wife" is thus a mafia princess, who aided and abetted the crimes her husband was involved in.
