FIREFLY LARP for Southeastern Browncoats!

FIREFLY fans in the southeastern part of the USA have something delightful to look forward to!

On April 18-20, members of the Greenville SC Browncoats, as Twisted Mind Productions, are hosting a FIREFLY LARP (Live Action Roleplay) weekend at Paris Mountain State Park.

The setting is the rim world of New Haven, with participants having the opportunity to play either locals or visiting spacers. If you've ever wished that you could spend a few days in the wonderful 'verse Joss Wheedon envisioned, now you can.

Wanna be a Companion, a hired gun, a purplebelly or a petty businessman with a very fine hat? Plan your character, dress yourself up and join us! The cost is reasonable, the menu for meals is amazing and housing will be available on and off-site. This is a group that really pays attention to details and does it right.

Awwww Xie Xie darlin'! Those are very kind words...we try hard!

Things are coming together beautifully...the den is piled high with prop and decoration boxes...I have shoji screens in my van and lord help me there are about a hundred lanterns and god only knows how many sari's chengosams and etc there are strewn about.

the place looks like a cross between an exotic whorehouse and an explosion in an asian imports store lol

I would definitely suggest that anyone within a day's travel try and make it to this LARP.
The Greenville Browncoats run, hands-down, some of the most creative and well-planned activities there are to be had in this 'verse.
And they're a helluva lot of fun!

You guys rock, Linda-Lou! I wish I could make it.

I just wanted to bump this thread. The event is coming together and Linda and the good folk at Twisted Mind productions have put an amazing amount of effort into making this event real shiny.

So scrape up your cashy money, round up your outfit and plan to come on out for the southeastern Firefly LARP, "SHORE LEAVE AT NEW HAVEN".

We're only a couple of weeks away and it looks like we've only got 2 cabins left for the folks who want to stay on site. The price goes up after april 5th to the at the door cost and there's no guarantee that there will be space available.
