Okay, I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't-Brand New

To think I missed the first 3 songs of Rage Against The Machine to see these guys...

It was worth it.

Born and raised in Michigan. I just moved up to the northwest part of the state, which is drastically different from the middle, where I'm originally from.

I’ve actually heard of some of these songs. Usually, all these young’uns and their new fangled rock music just leaves me puzzled.

I was just listening to Sing, Sing, Sing by Benny Goodman. Usually I would provide some sort of link for those, like me, who never know what’s going on in this thread, but certainly everyone knows this song.

Nothing is more unpredictable than the mob, nothing more obscure than public opinion, nothing more deceptive than the whole political system.

Aw hell Finn, I get back to some old stuff here and there. Got a hankerin' for Kitty Wells the other day and ended up listening to Jimmie Rodgers for part of the afternoon.

Right now I had to look for something raspy and harsh.

I Wanna Be Your Dog- Iggy and The Stooges

So hard to find tolerable music from the seventies.

"Over the Hills and Far Way" by the Band and Bugles of the Light Division from the album "Over the Hills and Far Away: The Music of Sharpe".

Next song's on Random...

My comrades tied a rope around my waist and lowered me on top of Nazi tanks. I'd stuff Molotovs under turret and cannon, and they pulled me up again. They called me Tank Boy. I took a lot of Nazi tanks. A lot. And over the years I've learned to smell a traitor. "

Next song's "Bedlam Boys" from Old Blind Dogs' "Four on the Floor".

They're a modern Scots group if I recall correctly.

Choke choke again
I thought my demons were my friends
Getting me in the end
They're out to get me
Since I was young
I've tasted sorrow on my tongue
And this sweet chugga gun
Does not protect me

That's right
Trigger between my eyes
Please strike, Make it quick now

The Band of the week is... Korn

One would hope so, Finn. That has to be one of the best swing songs ever. On the other hand, the average person of my generation isn't the most culturally diverse.
