boy first posts on new boards make me nervous!

not new to Firefly, but my interest has been renewed lately. been off sick form work alot with tonsillitis and the only thing keeping my spirits up is rewatching Firefly again (and again!, my second time around in a couple of weeks).

anyway i felt the need to come and chat with folk who know what im on about *waves*

yeh i heard about the comics, cant wait. soon as i can leave the house again im going to my comic shop and pre-order them.
the story in the last one was so-so, just like an average episode but the artwork was really great. beats the Heroes comic by a mile!

Oh I liked the last comics, they had to explain why Book was leaving, and what happened to the Blue Hand guys who were stalking River, plus had the funny funny story about Dawson! What's not to love?
LOL
It kind of showed how our heroes were on the run, not getting jobs, and slowly starving.... It actually covered a lot considering it was only 3 issues long!

which set up the angry state Mal was in when the movie begins (at least it worked for me).

So, as you can see, folks here are always ready to discuss Firefly & Serenity!

oh dont get me wrong i still liked the comic alot (how could i not) its just i read it after reading a really excellently written comic (52 vol.2) so i couldnt help but compare!

i havent read Nathan's essay no, is the book available in the UK? i burnt myself out reading essays and proper books at uni so now i mostly just read comics
