Glad to say I don't think I have that bug, I just got a really whacked-up voice and really tired, and today, the day after, I'm alright except for my normal monthly headache.

From what I read of your posts on my board Ray, "regret" is not the word that comes to mind.

I could not think of a better ambassador for a site and a cause, than yourself. I'm honored that you have chosen to spend some time with us.

Thanks for any assistance yesterday folks. We got a record 82 Noms in and slapped the old out of those Golden Girls. In fact took down two shows above it too. We are at 830, looking at 1000 and shooting for 50,000. Of course, we will have to build up our voting crew to pull that off. It would really help us if everyone voting would nom Surface a couple of times a day.

I've been away to Virginia where my mom is very ill and not expected to last much longer; this visit was delayed a week as my husband's mother had her third stroke (she lives in Colorado) and has lost her sight so it has been a very sad, stressful time for the both of us. The missus LOVES Moonlight! Sorry you don't feel the same way, Jstn, but, what can ya do? Can't expect everyone to like everything, after all =^[.]~=.

As for the decline in noms, Fridays are chronically the very worst day for vote totals, though, I'm still not 100% sure why. So, yeah, it might have been disappointing, but, not terribly surprising. If Surface doesn't get back up to the low 80s before then, expect it to by Monday or Tuesday.

And, thank you very much for the help keeping Firefly at 1k+. Much as have the Dark Shadows voters, your help, along with the other Surface voters, makes a difference, especially given the apparent overall decline in Firefly votes, since last fall.

As for the decline in noms, Fridays are chronically the very worst day for vote totals, though, I'm still not 100% sure why. So, yeah, it might have been disappointing, but, not terribly surprising. If Surface doesn't get back up to the low 80s before then, expect it to by Monday or Tuesday.

And, thank you very much for the help keeping Firefly at 1k+. Much as have the Dark Shadows voters, your help, along with the other Surface voters, makes a difference, especially given the apparent overall decline in Firefly votes, since last fall.

Hey, if everyone liked the same shows, how boring would the world be. I can understand your wife liking the show. It is a light crime drama, with a soap opera star lead. It's no Buffy. certainly no Firefly, but as others here like it, and I like the, I'll continue to Nom it, as they do my show, which I suspect many of them haven't even seen anyway.

In my two years with the SaveSurface site (it was our anniversary today) I have noticed that Friday's tend to be slow there, and on other sites generally. I observe that people are foolish enough to actually imagine they have real lives with other stuff to do. The fools. LOLOLOLOL

You are certainly welcome for any help keeping Firefly at #1. It deserves to be there after all. As you may have noticed I alway suggest that when voting for Surface and Firefly, that people add Dark Shadows to the list as well. It's the least I can do, for a guy who grew Quentin Collins sideburns as a youngster. (I looked ridiculous LOLOLOL)

What kind of decline did you experience last fall? Support for the Surface campaign, Project Nim, also dropped of seriously around that same time.

19 votes in since last morning.

Firefly's decline came naturally enough after a long peak period when we were chasing, then, caught Xena, to take #1, last summer. We wanted to make sure we got a solid hold on the lead, so, for a while, we easily made daily totals upwards of 1,500 votes. Those totals slowly diminished, until, even with the help of our friends the Vampire Flans, we became hard pressed to maintain 1k+ votes per day, consistently.

Since then, we've gained some help from the Buffyverse voters, as well as from the BSG colonials, for whom I had begun to run stats on the Skiffy board. The influx of help from the Surface voters is a welcome boost, and, one which it is my pleasure to reciprocate, as I am able.

Time, now, for bed, VUMP!
