Anyone watch Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King on Sci Fi?

Kristanna Loken was the TX in Terminator 3... and she didn't do a bad job at that either. She was also the lead (Rayne) in the video game remake BloodRayne this year.

I watched the entire miniseries on Tuesday Night (from 7 to 11) and I was partly impressed by Dark Kingdom. Kristanna Loken as Queen Brunhild was a bit cold and emotionless to me... I didn't really feel for her character. Max Von Sydow (Eyvind) did however make the whole first part of the miniseries quite enjoyable, as did Sam West as King Gunther. Benno Fürmann was a letdown to me too as Eric/Seigfried, but what did I expect coming from SciFi? Not terribly much.

I wished there was more depth to the story as I found it quite predictable, but in the end I found it kind've like watching Willow in the sense of watching the fantasy element of a bunch of medievil cultures mashed together.

I watched it and was remarkably un-disappointed. Sci-Fi Channel original stuff is usually pretty bad (as in unwatchable).

I agree with Arclight. I wasnt too impressed but it was better than the gose Sci-Fi shows for their Saturday night movies.

I find it interesting that Sci-Fi is promoting Dragon King as a "Sci-Fi Original Mini-series" when it was originally made in 2004 and released overseas commercially in theaters as: "Ring of the Nibelungs".

Of course the Sci-Fi Channel are also the people who removed the end credit to the Battlestar Galactica series stating that it is co-produced by SKY-1 of the UK.

For those not able to put their finger on who the actor playing Sigfried reminded them of, I too had the same issue for a bit until it clicked.

He reminds me a lot of Keanu Reeves with the whole always looking like he's daydreaming about something else look.

Yes, it's a great mini series. I want to purchase it. Despite what someone mentioned about

Girlfriend, I don't know what's wrong with you. He's the reason I kept watching the movie and to se TX-Kristanna kick butt. Siefried's character is superb because Mr. Furmann's a superb actor. I loved the mystery, I had never heard the legendary story of the SWORD OF XANTEN: aka RING OF THE NIBELUNGS.
