I can't really see the point in gettin all excited about Firefly on TV... I mean dont we all have the DVD set?

firefly on TV = more potential fans = more people yelling at the execs for cancelling it = bigger chance of new episodes

see? not that hard... firefly on tv isnt for us... its for bringing in new fans wich in the long run might bring back the series...

I know where you're coming from, i've been here a few years longer than you and it took me a long time to admit it to myself but you will get there eventually. Its over. No more Firefly.

We got our movie. Its time you moved on with your life. Its over.

I reckon theres a slim possibility of another movie but nil for a series resurrection.

not so sure about completely over. i'm new but have been catching up on written/audio interviews from the past 2 years - through Jan 2008.

6 months ago, i would have agreed with you however joss' responses to the BIG question have taken a definite positive turn.

2006 through early/mid 2007, his view of FF returning was clearly "doubtful" even in light of the TV/Cinematic DVD sales. however, mid 2007-early 2008, the tone took a positive turn. likely prompted by Universal's decision to Special Ed. the DVD and the Better Days comic. in a recent interview (Nov/Dec 07 - can't remember), Joss is quoted as "not being finished with Firefly" (paraphrased) amongst other positive comments.

anyway, i'm may be new to the 'verse new but my "antenna" for world events gives me a good gut feeling about all this.

my only concern is the "freshness" of the actors. the appealing thing about FF TV was that it contained underdog/unknown actors giving A+ performances. the movie lost a little of that "underdog" effect - they'd all hit the gym and looked a little "worn" (from years of partying

or hard acting schedules ??). if something does come up, these actors will have aged nearly 10 years by the time anything coalesces.

...i'd still appreciate the show as if it came out on the first day!

With the writers strike on, ain't much new going through anywhere.

Everyone is scrambling for enough repeats to keep the coffers full and the executive golf vacations on track.

It could be the pulling enough numbers now could give us a jump start for something. Anything. Lot's o' stories to be told in the 'Verse. Not just Serenity and our BDH's.

The power of positive thinking appears to be a bit lost on you...

well not exactly 10 years but close ;-)

TV started filming in 2001 right?

by the time scripts, schedules, sponsorship, filming, editing and so-on get sorted out, nothing would hit TV/Cinema until 2010 at the earliest....unless Joss has a rabbit in his hat.
