Ha ha! What a great thread! Whenever I try and decide which male actor is the hottest on Firefly, it always comes down to Mal and Simon. When it comes to choosing just one of them, I had a difficult time. I eventually decided on Mal. He has the rugged good looks, he's tall, he's got gorgeous eyes....yeah. Mal's my guy. 
I also like him because of his personality on the show. He has a great moral code, a sardonic sense of humor, but most of all he's definitely in charge. He's the manly kind of man, and I don't see that often outside of a movie or television show.

Nope, much as I love River it is not in a "she's hot" kinda way...LOL

to answer your qustion jane, he's the big teddy bear type the kind of the man that can take care of you.I dont think I have ever seen such beautiful eyes but my heart will always be with alan.

for the guys, Simon. Not even close. The rest are nice too, but Simon's just... to me, the most important thing about someone is their mind. Then their sense of humor, then maybe their looks. The fact that Simon's so intelligent, with a good sense of humor, on top of being so gorram good-looking makes pretty much the perfect guy.
now, for the girls- hmm. I'm feeling bad for Inara, feel like she's not gettin the love she deserves. Now normally I think I'd say Zoe, cause she's just awesome, but today I'm just feelin' the Inara. As Nandi says, she's one hell of a woman. (oh, and btw, I'd like to second the Get Saffron a bra motion. geez!)

For the Guys: Jayne, I turned into a fangirl over him. Now I'm reading Neroli's fanfics like there is no tomorrow *grin*. Why? Well of course Adam is tall, muscular, with that deep sexy voice and nice chest ala Jaynestown. And the character? I love him cos he's a tall, sexy, funny, dangerous, arrogant, mercenary, morally ambiguous lummox who loves his mom and crushes on Kaylee and who even though he's done bad things, still wants people to think well of him. And he wears a funny hat
Adam summed him up best - Sex, Muscle, Humor, Thuggery: Jayne!
Now for the gals I would have to go with Kaylee, she's gorgeous, loveable, clever, compassionate and sexy and she knows her ships. If I was a guy and she smiled at me like she did in Serenity I would just melt.
