Do yall think this will help get Firefly/Serenity back in some form, TV or Movie?
Will this strike after its over or during, give Joss some kind of ground to stand on for more Firefly/Serenity??
I would like to know what yall(sorry Iam from Texas.) think.
Thanks
Keep Flying!!

One can only hope...
But the our BDHs doing other shows, would we be able to get them back?
Maybe i'm looking too far ahead.

But, all the cast has said they would do Firefly/Serenity in a heartbeat, so they would have to find time for a movie when they are in between jobs. Or where a show is concerned maybe see if their guest spots are for a limited time, etc.
I think patience will win out. I see another movie in the future. Look at the sales of games, books, movies, etc. and the new fans coming to Firefly daily. This one is dear to Joss' heart. It won't die.
I'm a hopeful optimist!! :)

I really love two of the current shows with a BDH in them. I'm not really sure I'd want them to leave even for a Firefly series. I seriously doubt Joss has one up his sleeve right now anyway. He has a new baby call Dollhouse at the moment. I wouldn't doubt there will be more from the 'verse later down the road but Firefly is over... sad to say but it's true. I can see another series with some of our BDH's, more likely a spin-off with new characters in a completely different setting. It's a fun daydream but it's just that... a dream. If we get anything it's years down the road yet. Just enjoy what we got, find something new and enjoy that as much as you can. We are all waiting and wishing together.
P.S. Speaking of Big Damn Heroes... new Chuck in just under two hours... get your DVDs ready to watch an episode of Firefly while they air that travesty called The Apprentice between the Chucks.
Also I say Y'all too sometimes. I'm from Beaufort, SC so it's a 100% true southern accent. Not that fake crap you hear on TV and from old ladies who think it's charming so they play it up.

If you were on a hit TV series would you drop it to chance another run with Firefly? If you have work you don't walk away from it. And these shows are good. So at least we get to see some of our cast members having some success.
Warning! Rant coming!
Drive should be there as well. Another great show that was not given a chance.
Sorry for my little rant;

This is very true. I, too, wouldn't leave a sucessful show, but a movie could be worked in to their schedules. I see another movie in the future, but not any time real soon.

I've also been wondering, if we get another show or movie with the same characterswhere would it go?
I'd be happy to have new stuff but I sure would miss Book and Wash.
I'll wait to go into detail about my opinions on this because I'm sure it's been discussed before I'm just too lazy to look. If there's an old thread to this effect could someone link it? I'd rather read it before going into detail or jacking this thread.
thanks :)

I've been trying to think about this the last couple days, honestly, but I just don't see it: where is the connection between this strike and Firefly? It just seems so random, you may as well have asked "Do y'all think the WGA Strike will help get {insert any previously cancelled show} back in some form?" A butterfly flaps its wings in Hong Kong and suddenly Firefly is back on TV.
So, please, help me see the logic here...? ((confused))

I think the point is Hollywood can't come up with new stuff during the strike.... which still destroys any chance of a return for a canceled series unless they had lot's of unfilmed scripts.

Well, if the writers strike drags on, and the studios find they can make a profit on sport and reality crap, maybe a few more of the Wheedonverse actors can come over here to the UK and appear in Dr Who or Torchwood...
Hey, perhaps they could re-make Blake's 7 with the Firefly cast!
