For those who haven't seen the anime Cowboy Bebop .... or who have and were waiting for a cheap set of the DVDs look no further

Cowboy Bebop - Remix: Complete Collection will be available for $30 - $40 early in February 2008

In the past the episodes were packed 3 or 4 or was it 5 to a disc and were at least $25 a pop .... and came out as 6 discs

The description of the series is as follows ....

' ...... COWBOY BEBOP follows Spike and Jet, a pair of suave bounty hunters who cruise the galaxy in the spaceship Bebop, so named because of their love for jazz. Soon, the pair have hooked up with Faye Valentine, a sexy bounty hunter who has something of a rivalry with Spike, as well as Ed and Ein, a young tomboy and her dog. .....'

Some folks have remarked that Cowboy Bebop reminds one of Firefly

Cowboy Bebop is great! There are a few things about it that might invoke some Firefly memories, most especially the music in the first session, along with some of the character interactions. I recall reading somewhere that Joss had not seen Bebop but I could be wrong. There are also a few things about it that are similar to Titan A.E., which Joss also wrote.

Folks I hate anime but I loved Cowboy Bebop. That's how good the story, voice acting, and music are. Thanks for the DVD tip-off.

Check overstock.com out for the cheapest I've seen so far. Also hastings.com have good deals on dvds. The jazz is good.

I'm torn about ordering them again, as I own a few of them already, but thanks for the heads up. Still...very tempting. Like Firefly, I was a fan of Cowboy Bebop from day one. I even own a few of the soundtracks by the Seatbelts.

I found the entire series as a 3-disc Chinese import for $9.99... but the English subtitles were utterly unreadable!
So, I had to find transcripts online and read each one before watching the episode (without subtitles).
Never found the US-released session discs for less than $20 each, so I can hardly wait for this!
