HK- can I borrow your flame thrower?? Need to kill someone quickly.
The teacher who swapped rooms with me apparently spent the whole of the teacher work day Friday making sure the 1/2 of the room he moved into my room was all organized and set up just so... leaving 1/2 his junk still strewn all over the room I am now in... so I get back and it's a disaster. I spent a frantic Thursday moving everything of mine out of his way ( meaning giant pile of mess for me) so he could move and he did nothing.... ARGH

Weekend was beyond description GREAT!!! so that's something to hang on to.

It feels like a second Monday. Monday in two parts. Monday reprised. Monday the sequel. Monday the bad penny. Monday the waking nightmare. The Monday behind the curtain.

Still...I watched Serenity over the weekend.

I watched old 1963 episodes of Doctor Who. There are not many things funnier than watching a 'rebel' attempt to defeat a Dalek by hitting it with a big rock.

Except when the rock knocks the top off the cheaply-made Dalek. Funny stuff.

ooh my fav part of the old Doctor Who is speculating on what else was filming because they are always using sets and costumes and props from other movies for their " new worlds" I love the whole Italian Renaissance world which they borrowed from the filming of Don Giovanni...LOL

Oh I need a large warm something... and about 15 hours to get this mess cleared to the point of being workable.

Hello all. Since my workweek is Tuesday to Saturday anyway, this is already my Monday and I am having no double Monday issues. Just double double trouble issues.

MsB, forget the flamethrower. What you need is one of these:

I tried to find one with a hook at the end for pulling entrails out with, sorry. This one will make lots of nice holes though.

I had to work as well.
In fact, Sunday was the first day I've really had off for a month.
And today I had to get up at 5:30 because my manager was under the delusion that scheduling me in the morning when I had evening classes would be a good idea.
Yeah.
I did take a little test to be a 'certified sales assosiate' though, so I got a raise. That was nice.

I don't think that being cautiously ashamed, or selectively ashamed, or in any way ashamed of who I am is any way to live my life.

So when I get my other one, I will book the flight at the final step for my D*C trip will be done!

And who does that? That's a little on the strange side too. I would only bet the cocoa mix is meant for the maximum amount of liquid allowable in the mugs. You can always try it but don't be mad if you end up drinking mud.

Okay, well on the matter of the new Bar name, it is now Wednesday and I still have the Monday Blues. Possibly I am dying because I had such a stressful weekend. I've already moaned about having to work on Saturday and so missing out on a crafting fair that I'd booked a ticket for (but it seems that I feel the need to maon again, oh well!). I then got stuck on the motorway for an hour (turns out there had been a terrible accident going the other way and some people had decided to stop in the fast lane to get out and look! These are the sort of people who should be shot for the benefit of humanity!).

I then got home to find my mother had broken her ankle and requires a LOT of support (she says she can't use crutches as she doesn't have the balance) which means a 5am start and an 11pm finish to every day this week to fit in all the household chores.

Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhh!

Hmm, thanks for letting me get that off my chest. I feel better now (but still tired!)

Still having the worst week. Turns out that the photocopying department has lost a huge pile of student work I sent for copying. I'll not only have to confess this tonight to a gang of irate adults, I also now need to quickly prep another hour and a half lesson. Poo.

You know one of these days I'll actually come into the bar happy and not moaning and keen and eager to help/ advise on other people's problems. Not today it seems. Today I am a self-pitying, self-obsessed mess.
Sorry guys!

so far, only the ancient Egyptian's soul required monetary exchange....
one was freely given without my knowing,
one was traded for fixing a problem,
one was handed over because he didn't need it.

*orders the most decadent, hot fudge sundae imaginable (molten chocolate lava cake, with a scoop of ice cream, hot fudge, and whipped cream at the very least)*

MsB: Two good things from yesterday -- 1. My co-workers did the heavy thinking ('course, they also knew that my opinion of the whole workshop went to f-all once the presenters got the "join us or leave the school"-type statement out...), 2. I have a new substitute to add to my list -- just above the "pray that you get a good one from the substitute emergency-call list".

As for the lesson today -- I had fun...I mean, I think it impressed the kids when I tossed a hot dog in the liquid nitrogen for 10 seconds and pulled it out frozen solid...(and that was the start)...

Emma: I think it's in the fine print somewhere that the first two years are Mrs. Murphy's Law ("Murphy is an optimist."), followed by the next three or four of Murphy's Law itself. By the fifth or sixth year, if you're still teaching, you're able to handle most current insanities teaching..

Gosh, I wonder why so many leave teaching within 5 years or less?

MsB, Emma, RIMG, HK, and anyone else who might know this: Any idea whom I need to start sponsoring for either an: A. Time-Turner (like in the Harry Potter series), or B. PR, HK, if you think this sig is big, you should have seen the one a while back. And the reason for that is that I get bored a lot, and have nothing better to do than to play on my comp, and I have a low tolerance for video games, and of course I get bored with having the same thing for a sig or whatever for a long time...

And there's also the fact that I'm not really a witty person, and the colorful and interesting sig makes me seem more interesting then I am lol.

Thanks for the encouragement. Actually yesterday's make do lesson went okay.
Your liquid nitrogen lesson sounds cool! I have heard of one person putting the hot dog in the finger of a latex glove, putting the glove on (with finger tucked away) and then freaking the class out by smashing his 'finger' with a hammer! But I'm sure you are less gross/ cruel than that!
