I was just thinking about Max Headroom while washing the dishes last night. I always kind of Zen out when doing such small chores and my mind wanders to all manner of interesting ponderings.

I LURVE Max Headroom. That show ROCKED. I consider Firefly the only other show to inherit such a crown of coolness and imagination.

From what bits I've read, the creator of Max Headroom was so put off by having his genius show killed, that he kinda went MIA. I could be totally off the mark on this, but some brain synapses seem to remember such a tale. Perhaps the absence of a DVD set is the result of said creator still flipping the bird to H'wood.

Ah the heck with that! Do the DVD set for the FANS! And put in LOTS of extras and interviews... most of the cast is still alive and kicking... commentaries! Part of my love for Eureka is that Matt Frewer is in it, he's such a character. I'd buy a Max Headroom DVD set in a heartbeat, actually I'd buy multiple sets. Then I'd put said DVD set right next to Firefly and ponder the injustice of how these somewhat related, awesomely cool, brilliant shows each only lasted 14 episodes before being dealt a cruel, unjust death by those too blind to see... oh the tragedy...

FUN FACT: The actor who played Blank Reg, William Morgan Sheppard, is the dad of our beloved Badger, Mark Sheppard!

Yeah, and I totally forgot that when I met him in the parking lot at Ralphs not too long ago!

When he asked "Where do you know me from?" I answered Babylon 5 & the seaQuest pilot, and that I was a fan of Mark's from Soldier of Fortune, Inc. & Firefly.

MalsWay and I knew that Max Headroom, like Firefly, would not last because it was too engaging (good). We loved that show. Max Headroom was created by Annabel Jankel and Rocky Morton.

A gorram DVD would be nice.
