Manual mornin' stats VUMP!
As of Sunday, January 20th, we are back up and running at:
http://richlabonte.net/tvvote
http://www.richlabonte.net/tvvote
http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/index.html
ALL three links work for voting, so if you have trouble getting into the site in heavy traffic you can try an alternate address instead. I recommend bookmarking them all, for rapid transition, if you have trouble voting.
Top two shows as of this morning:
(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)
Total votes Firefly: 535,262 (534,277)
Total votes Xena: 450,674 (450,185)
Yesterday, Browncoats voted 985 times (723). Not great, when you consider we got the same added 100 votes due to last week's voting issues, yesterday, that everybody else got.
Yesterday, Xenites voted 489 times (262).
(Xenites voted 496 (461) times less than Browncoats, yesterday.
Firefly is 84,588 (84,092) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #31 show NCIS 84,139. That puts us at 15,412 (15,908) votes away from a 100k vote lead, about 15.65 (22) days!
Yesterday, Browncoat votes rose by 262, 36.24%; Xenite votes rose by 227, 86.66%.
We got another shiny banner, for 535,000 votes, today!
5,650,532 (5,635,271) votes have been counted as of 01/21/08. Yesterday, 15,261 (9,148) votes were cast. In order to take ownership of 10% of all votes cast yesterday, we needed to vote 1,527 (915) times, of which we fell short by 542 votes. Our share fell to 9.472772% (9.4809466%) of all votes ever cast. Our share of the pie remains at 9%.
Our base numbers (before the 100 vote bonus), yesterday, 885 votes for a Sunday, was a pretty abysmal total. I hope we will see an improvement, this week!

In other TV Vote news:
Buffy got 475 (278) votes, yesterday. Currently, Buffy is not currently receiving enough votes to pass #6 show Battlestar Galactica, which received 631 (336) votes, yesterday.
Battlestar Galactica is set to overtake #5 show Farscape in .26 (2.57) days, at current voting rates.
Angel got 411 (227) votes, and, is not currently receiving enough votes to pass #10 show Combat! which received 502 (381) votes.
Finally, Dark Shadows got 527 (402) votes, and, overtook #36 show Scarecrow and Mrs. King.
Thanks, again, for your time, and, for your support of these great shows!
P.S.: For those who are interested in Moonlight in the Nominations Poll:
Total votes Moonlight 6,224 (5,963)
Moonlight got 261 (131) votes, yesterday, passing Law And Order Special Victims Unit 6,208.

May not be smart, and it may not please you, but you're definitely gonna see what I have to say.
Put this in your sig if you had a favorite show that may have been named Firefly and was canceled by FOX.

1. (7) Hercules: The Legendary Journeys: 57900 (96) Will be caught by Blood Ties (2006) in 183 days (22 Jul).
A quick back-of-the-envelope sort of calculation.
In 200 days time QaF will have about 94K votes at current rates, and Herc will have about 78K. That's a 16K difference. With Herc closing at a mere 30 votes per day, it'll take over 500 MORE days after that for Herc to get back in the 40. Except that it won't, of course, because by that point it will have been passed by SOMEONE even if Blood Ties continues to fade.
It looks like the next entrant to the 40, whoever it is (and Blood Ties looks most likely still) will need about 100K votes to do it. That's quite a high hurdle for any show to try to get out of the nom ghetto

It'd be nice if Rich would consider some way to make that hurdle a little more achievable. Allowing multiple (different) noms by the same person each hour would certainly help.
