Let's hope so Calhoun. I'm looking forward to this show, but the delays have me a bit concerned.

Resurrected this thread in amazement..
All this time and still waiting. Seems like studio interference is the root of all evils.
I might not even bother to check this out now when it finally does come.. just out of spite.

Thx for bumping this - it's an interesting story if not a happy one for scifi fans. I am looking forward to it and I'll definitely check it out - gotta support the dude!

"Shot in only fourteen days," huh? And in production for fourteen years, it seems... :(

Trenches was shown at Farpoint Con outside Baltimore MD in February, 2009.
Or so I understand, because my day went in the crapper from the git-go and I missed the 11:00AM premier.
I wanted to see it because a handful of my Browncoat friends/acquaintances had a hand in making Trenches.
It is my understanding that the problem is that the director completely neglected to film
adequate wide or establishing shots.
Everything is basically character close-ups, so in editing there is no way to visually advance the storyline.
The audience can't follow what is supposed to be developing, plot-wise.
Of course, I don't actually know this for myself,
CUZ I MISSED IT!
Aargh....
Mike
