also, badger says "nice to see someone from the old homestead." referencing river's titan/dayton colony. i would say that comfirms for me at least that badger is from dayton colony.

maybe there could be a kind of civilian bulletin board, Saying that the Crazy, or bad brother Simon have kidnapped his sister, for some completely civilian kind of what ever it might be, or perhasp it reads something about a disturbed brother/Sister pair that elopes, well anything that could might make any law abiding civilian come in an give a hint of where they might even be, perhaps even be let go again(if the person in question has not happened to have talked with them, how else would they accept a seemingly civilian(Jayne) to contact the police
