Many of you have asked me whether it's possible to change your email address and still have the same account, the brief answer is no. But I'm working on it and should have something that's fairly functional by the end of next week. I would have had it done sooner, but I'm just overloaded with work at the moment that I haven't found the time to sit down long enough to complete all these projects I have planned for FFF.NET.

Speaking of projects, I'm working on a more sophisticated messaging system to be used internally on the site. The reason for doing this is that many of the emails you all are sending me is being quarantined by my spam filter and then burried under the tons of spam that I receive daily. I don't know how well this will work, but at least anything you send me will have a better chance of getting through to me.

Anyway, that's all for now. Will keep you all posted.

I can't even imagine the workload you must have in order to give us Browncoats our Firefly fix at our favorite site everyday. I think it's safe to say that I can speak for a lot of us when I say you have our respect, our thanks, our appreciation, and most importantly our Google Clicks.

And thanks for the info'. I've been stressing over getting a custom avatar so hard I knew it had to be piling up on you. I just wish there was more I could do to help.

I have faith in you to do the most kick-ass job possible because you've already been doing it so far. This new system will prove that even further when it's done. But, like it's already been said, take your time and try not to take on more than you can handle. It's not healthy. Don't let it get you down.

OK, I'm gonna take my tongue out of your arse-hole now because, as good as it may feel for a while, it does get annoying.

BTW, there is a "beta" email address change. Just click on MY FIREFLY and then edit your profile to change the email address.

I haven't tested it fully, so there might be some weirdness.

I'm still working on the internal messaging system and also a way for you to upload your own avatars.

Haken, thanks for creating the "Real World Discussions" forum -- do you think you could add 'subscribe/unsubscribe' options to your list of things to add when all that free time magically appears? That way, those folks who don't even want to read the title of political or other controversial threads can have only firefly-related stuff show up on the front page.

Please help Haken keep this site running by occasionally clicking on some of the sponsored ad links on the side of the page!

Sounds like a great idea. I'll see what I can do about adding some check boxes to the profile page for that purpose.
