David Tennant, star of Doctor Who, was asked about his other favourite sci-fi shows and answered that he loved Firefly which he thought was fantastic but it was topped by Serenity. He also praised Joss as being "a very clever man".
Does make me even more suspicious about the long coat that David's Doctor wears in his show. It's kind of a brownish colour.

FanTAStic!
Think we could get him to do a guest spot on Serenity 2? (We do kinda have a tradition of underworld contacts being British. . .)

I do get this feeling that if The Serenifly series is ever going to be resurrected in the television and/or movie media, that it's the Brits and Aussies that are going to get it done. They just seem to know how to cut through all of the political crap.
Having said that, I do know that Vancouver, Canada, is itching for Hollywood biddness....

That's so awesome. Now I love David Tennant even more.
Was this in a recent interview?
Let's not forget that Russell T Davies is a big Joss fan. I like to think he made Ten's coat brown and long on purpose.

Yup, from the latest Doctor Who Magazine. David has always been a bit of a geek's geek and this just goes to further his excellent reputation.

Cool.
But never mind that. I've been reading some David Tennant interviews and I'm fairly certain that the one asking if he can have his coat when he's finished is my cousin

David Tennant is such a cool guy.
If you see him on other shows outside of Doctor Who, when he is essentially himself, he is quite willing to have the piss taken out of him and give as good back. He seems to have a great sense of humour. He's also willing to give time to the fans and really appreciates their support.
Definitely fits the Browncoat mold.
I remember seeing one a show called the Friday Night Project where part of the show was one of those stitch up camera shows. The victim was going to an auction of Who memorabilia, but his mate and the crew had taken the victims 'one of a kind' Who prop and jokingly put it in the auction. Tennant was running the bidding and the look on the guys face when his item came up and he realised it was his was just priceless.
And for you ladies out there, Billie Piper's nickname for him on set was 'David Ten-inch'.
