not so sure i like the mischeivous tone of that O.o I like mostly the darker shades of blue, but not so dark they look black. I am a big fan of dragons. not the chinese dragons, but the more i guess "european" you could call the other style? dont even know lol :P

I actually have a suggestion to everyone who has a Nominee show with which they would like help. On your first post of the day (after the stats update, about 9am ET), post the progress of your show. You can use the Nomination stats I post for Moonlight as an example:

"For those who are interested in Moonlight in the Nominations Poll:

Total votes Moonlight 4,165 (4,049)

Moonlight got 116 (124) votes, yesterday, passing The Rat Patrol 4,158."

To find the numbers, scroll down just a few lines below the Nominations write-in box. You'll see a link, "Click here to see Current Totals for All Nominations."

Make sure the date at the top of the totals screen is current for that day; you might need to refresh the screen. Then, to find your show, use the search function (Ctrl F, typically) and search by the title of your show.

Then, just record the new daily total (putting the previous day's total in parentheses for comparison purposes), the difference as daily votes, and, any shows passed.

But, you're right, Jstn, if you do that, it'll provide some motivation to your voters to see the progress they're making, and, it'll remind folks here about shows that might could use a little love.

I wish I could help more with each of the Noms, but, it's tough with only one Nom per hour, and Red Dwarf, Surface, and, John Doe, along with Moonlight to Nom; as it is, I keep forgetting John Doe, but, I'll try to do better; I just nominated John, along with my VUMP!

Interesting thing about the noms: unless I'm doing the mental arithmetic wrong, Blood Ties and Rome are the ONLY shows that can ever make it to the top 40 without kicking their votes up a whole lot, and Rome will take a REALLY long time to get there.

Blood Ties will knock out QaF some time this year, at which point every show in the 40 will be getting at least 140 daily votes on average. So Rome will be creeping up by 30 votes a day on the last placed show (and it takes a long time to close a gap of 50K at that speed), and every other nom'd show will just slip further behind.

The moral of this story? If you're nomming something other than Blood Ties, you need to find a much bigger community of voters to help you out, if you want to get to the 40.

Regarding our percentage. We are sitting at 9.49%. So it won't take much to get us back to 10%. I'm thinking that with Dark Shadows making the big board and some other shows getting votes, we have diluted our share a bit. What are everyone's thoughts about voting for Firefly exclusively a couple of times a day, or even for one full day, just to get us back in the 10% range?

We've been over this ground, before, and, even if we just took that approach for a few days, it wouldn't resolve the bigger issue: We're voting less than we did when we first took the 10%.

And, as observed, other shows, particularly the movers in the Top 5, are voting /more/, so, it wouldn't do much good to put ourselves on short voting rations.

And, it looks like our percentage level is stabilizing, so, assuming we can keep the daily votes at about this level, I suspect we won't drop much further. That means, if we can rally some voters, we could get back to 10%, again. Or, we might be able to wait out the positional struggles in the Top 5, and, see if that has a positive effect.

As for the Nominations, yeah, it's tough to project for the Top 40, when all the established shows are so deeply entrenched. For me, the fun is voting my nominees up past other shows, and, at least into the Top 40 of the Noms. There may never be a realistic expectation of getting them into the Top 40, but, you never know; look at how Dark Shadows did.

This is the way I do it, but if you reply with a quote, copy the pic (it'll say something like http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee185 yadada), and then go to your profile, click edit, then paste what you've copyied, and it should show up . And I'm very glad you like it
