Oh, Ron Paul scored around 12.0, if memomory serves me. I kinda botched the immigration question, which gave me a lower score on the top 3 than likely should be the case. I've heard Fred's remarks on the issue,and strongly agree w/him, but the test had me at odds w/ his position.

No surprise for me, I scored Paul 22. Clinton, Obama, and Edwards were 5 or below. None of the choices for education or immigration fit me. Otherwise, I was okay with the choices.

Cnn, or was it msnbc, had an issue by issue, candidate by candidate matrix users could complete. It was pretty interesting.

Schmuckabee in third was mildly surprising, but when I considered how he's pretty much been aping Ron Paul issues since the first money bomb, I guess it's not too suprising.

The sad thing is, these games don't take into account integrity and that fact that all of the mainstream candidates have nothing at all like a moral or philosophical compass. They fly whichever way the wind blows. They can blow away as far as I'm concerned.

Don’t blame that on the website. Some of these pole games use expert assessments of voting records and multiple corroborating statements to evaluate positions, which can make them more accurate then the candidates themselves.

I don't get to vote so I suspect it's academic. In most cases especially immigration and education there were multiple answers in the right general area but none exactly what i would chose.

Hillary gets the nod at 9
followed by a clutch of Dems including Obama, Denis and Edwards at 8 and then Ron Paul at 7.

As a European i would argue that education is essential to a strong economy and a strong democracy. The patchwork craziness of local schools with local standards which are often badly funded via unpopular property taxes is a competitive disadvantage to the US economy.

And don't go to war with Iran.... let the Israelis deal with it in their usual brutally efficient way.

Btw, those questions were quite loaded, some of them, and used the same linquistic trickery often used on local ballot initiatives to confuse voters into taking a certain position whether it is there own or not.*

And, as Sarge mentioned, all but maybe two of those bastards can't be trusted to hold to their word anyhow, so where does that leave you ?

*-pet peeve of mine, especially when the initiative in question boiled down to
"We want a blank check with no oversight to build a school in another district where their students will have priority access over ours."

And they had a six paragraph "explaination" that used a lot of double-negative and obfuscatory language that would frustrate even a lawyer, but was soundly defeated by some local jackass who crashed the meeting and called them on it while it was being locally televised via public access.

Obama and Clinton were tied with me at the top. I'm pretty torn over who to vote for, honestly. But I think I'll flee to Canada if another Republican gets into office.

The survey did not ask me about guns.

How can they ask me about the death penalty and education and abortion but not about guns? It even asked me about stem cell research.
