I just finished Speaker for the Dead (sequal to Ender's Game) and it is as good if not better. It takes a little bit to get used to some new charachters but I couldn't put it down. So contrary to popular opinion I would recommend the next book. I'm just starting Xenocide so I'll let you know how it goes.

JK, btw. I enjoy some of his work, and some I don't, and some I've not read so have no opinion.

Ender's series: Enjoyed them all. Ender's Game is the best one, but the others don't detract from that. The Shadow's Of series is a nice kinda behind the scenes view of the same time period of Ender's and post, with very little of Ender in them.

Worthing Chronicles - Very trippy, but because I'm sure it's allagorical(what it means......shrug) but a fascinating trip none the less.

Folk of the Fringe - very depressing, post apocolyptic story about the West, mormons, and humanity.

Homecoming series - tried, made no sense in first book, might try again another time.

That's my take, he's a great writer, but not every book of his is for everyone. I had a friend here at work tell me about the Maker series, which I have never read, and how he really likes them.

Now, I will go to your list and see what else you have, but I wanted to rant on and on first.

I feel bad if anyone saw the movie 'The Postman', but the book by....David Brin? Was excellent. I have a thing for post-apocalyptic stuff, I guess.

If you read and buy a lot of books, you may want to try www.bookswim.com. It's sort of like netflix for books. It may save you money by year's end by not having buying three books a month. However, if you don't buy books very often, it's not a good deal. You could hit up your library instead.

The movie I never saw, but the book was VERY good. I heard that he wrote a sequel, anyone have any thing on that?

OK I must recommend a new author.. Gordon Campbell
The book is Missing Witness and it's really well written. He gave the manuscript to a local bookstore owner who agreed to read the first chapter...it was so good she couldn't put it down and she ended up sending it to a friend in publishing..it's really excellent!!

Um, no, I don't think that Brin ever wrote a sequel to 'The Postman'. If I'm incorrect with this assessment, I humbly beg of you, from what source did you hear of this sequel?

That's why I asked, can't remember, may have been just wishful thinking. The ending seemed to imply there might be more. Again, maybe I'm just wishing.
