Just for you Zero:

Insanely smiling while running with scissors and playing with matches.

You should probably try calling again. I've found that if you're on hold for more than 40-45 minutes, your call has gone into the 'Eternal Hold', never to be picked up again. I've never had someone actually come back on the line after being on hold that long.

This happened to my boss just recently. He was sitting on hold for 1 hour 45 minutes, so I asked him for the number, called myself, and 10 mins later I was speaking to a live person and transferred the call to him (he was still on hold on the other line :) )

the day is still young
the management still inept
hide all the pencils

Very nice haiku, HK.

I'll toss in one of my own:

Meetings all day long
Oh no there's another one
Please god kill me now

Actually, they did answer.

Just long enough to hang up on me!!!!

I'll call back tomorrow, I'm sick of dealing with them today.

I am shocked and amazed that you had a rep return from Eternal Hold after that long. All my calls that end up there seem to inevitably vanish into nothingness, much like old socks and ex-girlfriends.

I think you need a real big bat for this one:

^__^

I spent an entire week responding to all my work emails with haiku. Only one person noticed. Westerners are such heathens. I may start doing that again.

((sets up a sneaky lurky eHug trap for MsB for when she exits the breakables room))

I'm trying to decide which is less surprising, that you actually e-mailed haikus for a week, or that barely any of your co-workers noticed.

I honestly don't think anyone I work with would notice either. They're too busy either checking the Nascar results or looking at themselves in a mirror.
