In the world of limied run kits the costs can be very high. For those not used to it the price is shocking.

I know people who will build a model car for others. The kit will cost around $15. Then there is glue, paint and labour. It can take 20-40 hours on a decently built model. I know my friend will charge something between $200-300 for something out of the box. At 40 hours that would work out to around $7 an hour.

Of course some people think they can get a custom car for $25 since that is what a diecast car costs.

They do not realize the skills, labour and tools involved. I am not putting those people down. I am just saying they have not had the experience to realize what is involved in putting together a limited run kit.

For those who can not afford it there is at least the ornament they can purchase.

It's been a LONGGGG time since I built a model kit, and being truthsome...I really haven't seen anything I'd care to - but this? Yeah I'd go ahead and spend the money for this particular kit.
