If FF/Serenity is all we get, can it still remain that one shining moment in time when all was shiny and perfect- like a first love...can we all be okay with that?

Oh Chris...

*hugs* *then blushes, cuz I don't normally do that*

First of all, I'm not willing to throw in the towel just yet.

I still think there is an ( admittedly ) slim chance that we'll get a direct to DVD movie or a mini-series or a made for tv movie. The only thing certain in life is that nothing is certain. So....

But to answer your question forthrightly. Yes.
I'd be ok. I'd not like it, and upon occasion I'd cry, because I still get teary when I think it's no more. Sometimes I miss Mal and Serenity fiercely and want to know more. But I can live with what we have. It's lightening in a bottle, so very fine and we're lucky we have that!

That said... I'm holdin' til Mal gets back.

basicly, i second what followmal says.

NOT ready to give up, but, should the horrible come to pass...

...i think the smallness of what we have just makes it that much shinier

One of my favorite lines of all time.

I think I'd be ok. I am in no way ready to even think about giving up though. Not for more than a second anyway.

There's more to tell in the 'verse if Joss and the gang wants to tell it. I am a firm believer that given time, maybe five to ten years, we'll be seeing more of the 'verse. Even if it's a series about completely different folks in a different setting and with a totally different premise I would still love it. Joss and Universal and yes maybe even SOME of the folks over at Fox know there's worth in this franchise so who knows.

In the meantime we have great new shows, like Chuck etc... to keep us lovin' our Big Damn Heroes. As long as they never fade away I'll be content. The lasting legacy of our beloved series will always be what we and the cast and crew who made it took away from it.

Kaylee is using that capture thing again. "Gotta have records of everything." Can't you just see her having everyone pose by the bags of loot and saying Smile everyone. I mean you too, Captain. Wash making a joke about posing for the nice policeofficers.

Serenity: A Shepherd's Tale comic Date?

I agree, the cast commentary for 'Serenity' is great....
and I'm looking forward to the comic!

I could be okay with what we've already got from the verse...but I really do believe that this is NOT all there is....

Joss still has these voices in his head, and the only way he gets them out is by finding the means to tell the stories. Sooner or later he will find the means. I really believe that.

If...and I do stress IF...that is all we will ever have (on the screen at least) I suppose I will be okay with it, I would have to be or else I'd go mad with grief.

However, I'm with FollowMal. I'm still holding, and I will continue to hold until Joss tells me to give up.

If I was allowed one wish that would absolutely come true, it would be to live in that alternate universe where Firefly was not canceled, and we would now be discussing the huge cliffhanger ending to Episode 11 of Season 6, and cursing the network for allowing holiday specials to interrupt the greatest show in the 'verse.

Howdy all
Been a while since I've posted but I'm still here, holdin. I wanted to chime in on this because I've thought about the "What ifs" quite a bit. What if there's no more FF/Serenity will I be alright with that? Well heaven forbid but I will have to be alright with that and I'll make myself be alright with it.Not that I will like it and not that I won't have a hollow spot in my soul because of it.Part of me will never get over the anger I feel for thoes who had a hand in trying to destroy this show.Firefly is more popular now than a lot of what is on television today. The Browncoats have fought the good fight and I feel it must continue. I ain't giving up yet. There are new fans joining every day. This show is still going strong and the actors are becoming more recognized all the time.I can't turn on the tube these days without seeing one of the beloved crew of Serenity on some show and that's a good thing. I think one thing that bothers the browncoats more is the question WHY! Why isn't there some active persuit of getting this show up and running again? Not only would I be there to ring in a new series ( even to the point of missing work) but I wouldn't be alone. Not only that, I would be there to snap up the second season of FF when it hit the store shelves in a heartbeat.I think the people who canned this show were wrong and they know it and they are doing everything in their power to makes people think it wasn't a mistake. I have yet to come across a boss to admit to being wrong. They think that if they cast water on the flame that the heat will go away. Not so, this loved tv show is still picking up speed.Joss has said something about the magic being lost, well I think they can get it back. It will take work. Things that are worthwhile always do but I think we can get THAT MAGIC back. I'm holdin and I know that so many browncoats are doing the same. I feel proud to be among that number. I'm still recruiting and want to say that that is going well.I can be alright if there isn't any more but we've shown all the media that it isn't about money. Not anymore. There's something else at work here. Me thinks the ALLIANCE has gotten their evil fangs into the necks of the browncoats and are milking every drop that they can. Just some thoughts.

No I will not be okay with that. I want more gorramit!

Isnt now a good time to step up the efforts and hit em with a new campaign. What Tudyk said was encouraging about Universal saying that DVD sales were so good that, they were considering a sequel.

I wasnt around back when you guys made Serenity happen and feel I let Firefly down, I wish I could of helped. Surely it aint over yet...dont stop now.
