Sorry fans, but Indiana Jones jumped the shark tank a long time ago. Harrison Ford's 65 year-old withered body (drained of blood and intelligent thought by Calista Flockhart) won't be very attractive to see. And what's with CRYSTAL SKULL???? What?...all these stupid movies now have to have retardedly descriptive names in the title, ala Johnny Depp pirate kiddie-crap? Crystal Skull...indeed! Why not Indiana Jones & the Lemony Fresh New Liquid Tide Bottle?

Yeah, 'cause Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade were such brilliant, cutting-edge titles.

And Serenity is a title that so obviously appealed to everyone. Hey if it isn't your thing then it isn't your thing. You obviously haven't seen the pics released of Harrison Ford in costume, which look amazing as he still does nearly all his stunts. Yes he's old but he's still in way better shape than I'd bet half of us sitting here on our fat or bony arses posting movie gossip are. Jongstraw stay off a thread if you don't have anything constructive to say. Back in the early days of film titles were usually longer than they are these days, on average. I mean seriously look at the Bond titles, yes some are fairly short but then you get others that are not so much. There are many more examples if you had the sense to look. Also who the heck says "Jumps the shark" anymore... I'd say the phrase did just that about twenty years ago.

Seriously, if the most critical thing that can be said about this film is that the actor is 65 and the title is long, then verily I say unto you that this shall truly be the greatest film on earth. Also Harrison Ford, like Sean Connery and possibly even Nathan Fillion, will likely be a sex symbol, even to much younger women, well into their 70s. Believe me, these guys are never not getting some.

Cloverfield? I’m not sure about this one. They are hyping it a lot and I hear it’s all shot on handhelds. This makes me suspect it’s a Blair Witch kind of deal, but the cool trailers make me think otherwise. I don’t know. I’m sort of frightened and confused.
Seriously impressive CGI isn't it? I'm sure this movie is going to get panned by half the critics out there but it seems the type of film only folks with more than a few brain cells devoted to intelligent thought could grasp.
I'm not super excited about The Incredible Hulk, only incarnation I've ever even remotely liked was the TV series and that was mainly because of Bill Bixby. Main reason I'm interested in this is alot of folks have compared Edward Nortons portrayal to Bixbys so I'll defiantly be watching the DVD if not going to the theater.
Cloverfield seems to be only capable of being complete and utter crap or an interesting artistic film. Doubt it will be great but who knows. I've heard the director had never even seen Blair Witch, which is defiantly a good film to not watch, so it might do well. Also remember Joss went for the handheld/found footage style for Firefly and look how well that was done. The style for this movie is undoubtedly different but the shaky cam look can do well.
I'll watch the hobbit no matter what they decide to do. A second film linking the LOTR to the Hobbit might not be a good idea. I know quite a bit about Tolkiens writings, I've been studying him for about seven years now and reading his works since I was eight years old. If they can get a cohesive story out of that time then I say go for it. I can say I would be seriously against even Jackson doing a film based off the Quenta Silmarillion, atleast as far as the story of Luthien and Beren. It would be too painful if they messed up even a little.

Although not a fan of recent Angelina Jolie flicks, Wanted does look interesting.
And I did finally see part of a trailer of Jumper, maintains my interest.
