Guess what. It was in the local New Zealand Press today that Peter Jackson has won a lawsuit against some of the big people and has been granted the opportunity to film The Hobbit which is due out in 2011.

Whoo hoo.

If we can get Peter Jackson to do the hobbit then we must be able to get Firefly back on.

Thanks for all the voting my next goal is to save so i can afford to go to the world premiere.

Yes! I read about that, Joanna. What confuses me is that the news story I saw said that New Line Cinema would be filming "The Hobbit" (major shiny!) and, a sequel (Huh-what, now?). Since the Hobbit isn't long enough to merit two films, I have to wonder what in blazes the sequel will be about.

So far as I am aware, the next, and, only thing after "The Hobbit" was LOTR. I would love to see them start doing some of the stories from "The Silmarillion" as movies; yes, I know it's a dense read, but then, so are the Bible and the tale of the Trojan War, and, that never stopped anybody from making major motion pictures about those.

But, I'm sure it will be enjoyable!
