Ok, folks....sorry I've been MIA since last week. Had a major screw-up (although I'd prefer to use the "F" word. ) with the computer, which led us to saving everything of value and reformatting the damn drive from scratch. On top of that, my weeked has been sooo busy. Seeing Riverdance, then hanging out with my brother until 4:30am on Friday...working on an antifreeze leak in the van all day Saturday, going to the boy's play that night, the listening to our cousins play at a bar til after midnight...helping same cousins clean up the construction debris at the house they're building all day Sunday.

Whew! I have been wiped out, I tell you what. I'll get caught up on the RP sometime today (since our comp is working again, yea!), then post an appropriate move for Kaylee.

Oh, Astriana...got the magnets you sent me! Sweet! So nice of you to send me two. That Skybridge looks like an exhilirating/terrifying drive. I'll have to add it to the travel list. Heh.

I'm sorry to see our RPer's go. Real life needs to get it's butt kicked so we can all stay here. Well, I'm still here and will be patiently waiting for the return of our missing comrades.

Oh, and sorry for the long-windedness of this post. I've been off-line for 4 freakin' days.

You're welcome, Boomer! The Sunshine Skyway is definitely exactly that - exhilirating/terrifying to drive, especially at night. Talk about bein' in the Black - the water and the sky are equally dark at night, so it looks like you're going to fall into the intercoastal any second - and it's only 2 lanes in each direction; quite narrow!

I've been one of those experiencing RL to the nth degree lately, so I must apologize to the group for my sporadic presence. With everything else that I had going, and then to start practicing (playing out!!) with the band, it's been a bit hectic lately. (Although I wouldn't trade the music for anything - I'm beginning to live a bit of a dream... *sniffs - then composes self* )

I shall make a more concerted effort to be more active from here in...

Oh, and for those who were curious about how my first gig with WarBand went this past Saturday, how's this?

CapnRahn has graciously offered (been cajoled? ) to host the pics and audio for me, once I get them to him. (Hopefully, this will occur in the next day or two.)

Ta very much for a lovely night, then!

...I'm still free,

I was getting that, actually, and figured I better move it along. If you're okay with me doing Inara's lines, I'll get the girls moving.

CapnRahn--I believe that the THX-1138(?) is in reference to Speilberg's movie that he made in film school, yes? At any rate, I know his school movie project title started with THX, although I'm not quite sure of the number that followed.

Also, isn't "smeghead" taken from the BBC series, Red Dwarf? I know they used it a lot. LOVE that show!

Do I get a cookie now?

Ciara
As I said in IMs, I am really sad to see you go! Rest & renew yer RP muse and don't let RL kick ya in the arse!

I'll be sure to let you know when Milla can go into action!

Channain
Cool! BTW, How goes the college stuff?

Geezer
Buggernuts! I had hoped you would be able to play a major role in the Mini.

However, I DO understand about having to re-prioritize. I really know what you mean about time, capital and hardware invested in a money-making venture! If things change, let us know!

Teela
You get 2 cookies. No sneaking broken ones either!

The "2001..." ref was purely unintentional!

Hitchhickers! Evertime I hear the number 42 promenitly used in a film, I wonder if the writer was a fan or if it is just a coincidence.

The THX was reeeeeal close!

Boomer
Welcome back from the land of the lost!

3/4 of a cookie ... Naw since yer a smeggie, I'll give ya 2.

"THX-1138" is George Lucas' student film. "Duel" was Steven Speilburg's. Movie trivia: Robert Duvall played THX 1138.

Bang on with the 'smeghead' catch.

Have a question - Are there any specfic (state etc.) or special fridge magnets you are looking for?

Astriana
Me - cajoled - never!!!

Raven
Sorry about the avatar ... I can't find my good art/photo program. If you want - you could save the one I posted up this very thread. For the time being, at least.

I love the interludes, CapnRahn. I'm glad we discussed Hlastoni's personality so much because the way he acts is very much as I imagine. After the FF/DF cross-over, when will DF be starting do you think?

Ciara, are you going somewhere? And do I understand correctly that you intend on coming back for Dragonfly?

Patiently waiting... waiting...

It's cool, Rahn. I'm still learning how to post a custom Avatar (gonna take a while). Also, I was hopeing for Townsend to have the shoulder lenght hair with paler skin. Don't mean to be nitty-gritty, I just have a good idea of what I want

You see I cannot be forsaken/Because I'm not the only one.

CapnRahn, nothing in particular for magnets, just something "touristy", with a city/state name or tourist attraction.

I'll get on your magnet presently. As per my previous post, it's been a tad hectic around here for the past couple of days.

MAGNETS!?!!? well heck do you have any new Mexican touristy ones? I got like three, on a filing cabinet, in the back of the house, dust em off and they are yours should you want em.
