For a very long time I have been trying to find where I can get the camouflage hoodie that Jayne wears. If anyone knows where I can get one it would be much appreciated.
THANKS.

It is in the episode "Serenity", when they go to trade with Patience, on Whitefall.
Someone has to know something about this

Not 100% sure but I think the hoodie is not a hoodie in the traditional knit sweater material sense. I've always thought it looked too thick and stiff to be the usual hoodie, perhaps it has some kind of secondary lining. I'm thinking maybe something more foam like. For some reason I want to say neoprene but I'm sure that's wrong. Anyway, hope that helps some.

I'll keep my eyes open. If I find two someplace I'll only buy one 'right? Seriously now I'd check mil surplus sites and ebay for camo hooded or hood camo or somesuch. It seems to me it could also either be custom made for the show or possibly a solid hooded windbreaker they dyed. Either way BUMP in hopes of someone more knowledgeable on the firefly wardrobe seeing this. Maybe even someone with a pic? Anyone?

I actually just spoke with Shawna Trpcic about this particular jacket.
Come to find out, it was bought at a "hip hop store" in the Fox Hill Mall and it was made of neoprene by a "hip hop company" (the terms in quotes came directly from her). That's all the information I got from her on it. It's not much, but it's more than I've heard or found on it so far.

There are a couple shots where you can see some kind of logo on the upper portion of the right sleeve. Goes by kinda fast though.

Yeah, I noticed the spot on the sleeve as well.
Here's my take on the hoodie. Shawna said it was from a hip hop store. However, I'm no expert mind you, but when I think hip hop, neoprene is not the first fabric that comes to mind. My line of thought is a store like Pac Sun or Wet Seal. Wet Seal could quite possibly be mistaken for a hip hop store. Pac Sun, not so much.

As far as I'm aware, Wet Seal is a girl's clothing store. I doubt it came from there.
I'm still convinced that it's a foam-like material because it's definitely stiffer than traditional hoodie knit.

What I meant was, the whole "hip hop" store part may have been incorrect. She might be off on her genre of stores. I don't see a lot of neoprene hip hop fashions. I would be leaning more towards the Pac Sun style store. I don't know why I said Wet Seal.. I meant Anchor Blue. I'm not sure how I made that leap.
Anyhoo, I'm pretty sure it's neoprene and that mark/band thing on the sleeve makes me think Quiksilver. I started a thread on RPF about this too, but I honestly believe it will die off over there. This jacket just may never be found.
