Heya Spacefarers!
I am revising the BDM. It just occurred to me that I never thought why Capt. Reynolds took that shot of medicine before "going for the ride"?
Ideas/Theories/Opinions?
Cheers,
Jari

I think that it was just a routine inoculation for the expectable local germs--it's just that everybody else already had theirs (possibly because Mal has a thing about needles?)

It's mentioned just prior that it's a standard innoculation. Makes sense that each planet would have different diseases.
More insane ramblings by the people who brought you beeeer milkshakes!
No one can see their reflection in running water. It is only in still water that we can see.

Listen real close to the lines and you will hear him say something to the effect of "Guess I'll have to get innoc'ed before we hit planet side."

It made sense to me after I checked the subtitles but I'm sure alot of people had the same thought when they first watched the movie as I did... especially if they hadn't watched the series first.
When I first watched the BDM I could've swore he said "I guess I need to get A KNOCK..." reffering to the rockety ride.
Easy mistake I suppose?
