I tell ya, I've been a fan of Adam Baldwin way before Firefly. Anyone remember "My Bodyguard" in the early 80's? I think I've seen almost every movie since then. I remember the disappointment when "The Cape" was cancelled. I worked for a television station at the time, and it was the only show that received 2 compliments in one day. (A 7 year record, I might add) It's wonderful to see him finally get his just due as an actor, and I CANNOT wait until the Firefly movie comes out. I was soooooo close to seeing him personally back in '97, when he was playing hockey in San Jose. But as I had just delivered my son 2 days prior.... Anyway, I read somewhere that Mr. Baldwin chats online with fans on a weekly basis. Can anyone fill me in on that? Pretty please?? And, if Mr. Baldwin himself reads this, just know that your biggest fan has been rooting for you for over 20 years!

He is a regular at the 'offical board' here:
http://forums.prospero.com/foxfirefly
But note that 90% of his posts are actually in the off-topic political threads, and that may not be the best place to get a good feel for the board and it's members because it can get a might...tetchy in there. Hope to see you on the OB! :)

And now I'm going to look up what "tetchy" means! Ha!

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I really don't feel like browsing several hundred threads in search of one.

Adam recently appeared as Colonel Dave Dixon on Stargate SG-1. There was a significant amount of time spent building up his character and his team, including bits of personal character history. By the end of that episode I was convinced the writers had spent so much time on these characters because they were going to be the cast of Stargate Atlantis.

Well, now the cast list is out and Adam is not in it. While I would love to see more of Adam, that was a definite "WHEW" moment. After all, what would be the likelihood of him doing two series at once.

Does anyone know about Adam and Stargate? Was/Is he slated to be in the new series?

I did the same, but I wouldn't say it was "ass" that it "sucks". Let's be upfront about it...

I did briefly peruse the "Poligammy Good or Bad" thread, in which the originator stated "proberly (sic) I spelled it wrong". The good news: he spelled 'it' right, though he did spell 'polygamy' incorrectly. As to his premises (guessing it's a guy) and the other posters' arguments: eeeewwww!

I may occasionally disagree with others on FFFn (sometimes fundamentally), but the other points of view at least resemble rational discourse; on the OB, not so much. BTW, can anybody point me toward some advice on buying a house, you know, in a Firefly-related way like they do over at the OB?

Respectfully,

zoid

I find the OB strange to navigate... I don't know if I'm missing some way to change the set-up, but reading one post at a time feels really disjointed.

Oh, and Adam rocks.

zoid, just be sure there are front facing windows so that when the local lawman gets power hungry and comes for his offspring you have a clear line of sight to defend your whores. Urm... see, uh, Browncoats can give solid real estate advice...

His faith in humanity restored, zoid returned to making paper dolls, over in the well-padded corner, with properly dulled art scissors.
