um see now I like a good sunless void ( I don't much care for the sun...I'm ok with it as long as it stays where it belongs...outside)

I actually enjoy being a troglydyte myself, but I was quoting Flushed Away there. The toad says it.

Let's have a black celebration
To celebrate the fact
that we've seen the back
of another black day.

I'm not worthy!

Some very good ideas there (and I didn't need to spend an hour and a half in private coucelling to receive them!), thanks MSB. I have a similar system with my kids, verbal warning then their name goes on the board then gets circled and they have to stay behind for a 'chat'. Problem is I tend to forget who I've warned. The sticky idea is a good one for my poor memory.
I am constatly trying to find punishments that they actually care about. I'm very up front with them that if they treat me with respect I will do my best to help them do well but if they disrupt the class I will go out of my way to make their life less fun! Sitting with them at lunch is fun but sadly I rarely get time for lunch, and if so it is just 5 minutes at my desk!

Is anyone else counting the days to Christmas with a mixture of longing and dread? Longing because I'm so tired and need a break but dread because I have NO presents yet. It's my neice's birthday next week too and she is at that awkward age (13) where what she likes keeps changing every week! No idea what to get!

HUGS Gorram :)

HUGS Navy...aw you say the sweetest things ..remind me to hug you a whole bunch

Em- oh I make the kid get their lunch and eat it in my classroom. That way I can work ( like we always do) Yeah the sticky notes help a lot. They're a visual reminder to the kids and you. Plus the good kids earn 3 points extra a day and it really encourages good behavior. HUGS sweety and keep your chin up!!!
