In Jewel's latest blog on myspace she gives the address for her new website www.jewelstaite.com (original, yes?) I checked it out and it really is by her, not by a fan. The lay out is nice but there isn't a lot there yet. Most of the pics are ones we've seen before, except for some cool ones of her and her friends. Hopefully, it will grow as she finds more time to spend on it. I wrote her a message saying she might want to include fan art of her on the site. Wouldn't that be cool? Stay shiny!

I smell a whole lotta pink comin' off this site.
It is lovely. I've only seen Jewel in some sort of dirt or another. The page is certainly a change in the right direction. Like I said, lovely.

"Out of all of the characters I've played, who do I relate to the most? Probably Dr. Keller so far." Ok, I have to admit, that stang a mite. :(

Why do the words "Frederick's of Hollywood" pop into my head?

I think it is typical of actors to be in love with the character they are currently playing....
it keeps them from feeling depressed about their careers, if nothing else.
You know she would RUSH over to play Kaylee again if Joss was doing a sequel (which I still expect to happen one of these years).
Have to say though: I don't think the site looks very good. That Fairy like version of herself is the same photo flipped to mirror image and then with a lot of flowery stuff added. Maybe that seemed like a cool idea, but I think it looks awkward and using two different photos would have looked better. JMPO of course.
I think Jewel is wonderful and her blogs at MySpace have always been well worth reading (I guess she is only going to do Q&A at MySpace now and will blog at her website?)

Thanks for sayin', embers. I feel a bit better now. :) Of course I had wished she had said: "Oh, Firefly's Kaylee! Hands down! Definitely!" But if wishes were horses... Besides, the way you explain it, it makes sense.
Yes, I've read her blogs (heck, I spent my last blog here about her blog, lol). I think Jewel is totally awesome, and, for the record, far as I'm concerned she can do no harm, ever.
As for Jewel's flowery website, I think it's sweet: reminds me of her hammock colors; well, kinda. :) Her website falls into the aforementioned "can do no harm" category; and, in earnest, I really love that "pretty in pink" look -- not that I would use it for my own website, mind you; but then again, I'm not girl folk, and I ain't sly. :) Her shiny new website actually brings me back to my childhood, when girls had what they called "poezie albums" -- kinda like a diary, but for others to write in and put pretty pictures in. It has that kinda feel. People loved those!
So, thumbs up for Jewel and pinkish-color website!
