QMx Mal Pistol - Mal backstory

Hi all
If anyone has purchased & received, would you mind sharing the backstory they gave Mal? I bought one of the LE 'Wanted' posters at Starfury and based on the information contained therein, and in the series / movie, I'm creating a genealogy (pedigree / family tree) for Mal.
Genealogy is my *other* hobby 500 years of it will be fictional, but once it gets back to a current or recent past time, I'm tossing in some real genealogy ...
yes, I am a geek! I started on it at Starfury, but now that I'm home and have all my genealogy tools handy, I want to get working on it again.

PS ... While going thru 'verse maps & timelines I came up with a few questions.

(assumption) Mal joined the war at the start ... did he leave Shadow and go to Hera? if not Hera, where?

since Shadow is a dead planet now, when was it killed - shortly into the war? (2506-ish?) I'm assuming Mal's mother was killed at that time? (basically I'm trying to determine her date of death)

I'm sure I'll think of more...
