A letter writing campaign is not a bad idea ecxept there are two things large communications corporations like FOX have to listen to, the first is ratings, and the second is Stock Holders. As individuals we have little ability to hold a significant sway in either of these two factors unless one of us was wealthy, then he or she could purchase enough stock for FOX to take notice, but that would be unwise to put your financial future at risk to just to bring a show back unless buying stock in FOX was already in your investment plan.

Another thing which could be done is to have browncoat organizations like the 76th, the New England Browncoats, and the Virgina Browncoats as well as other ask members to send a nominal amount of money to the organization so it could buy stock in Fox and have a voting say in whether Firefly comes back or not.

There are some things which would have to be done like the clubs would have to write up a document explaining how the stock would be purchased, what would happen to dividens, and other legal matters. Also, the organizations could hold bottle drives, car washes, or other types of money making matters to raise money for the stocks so people who really cannot afford to send in money would still be able to assist the organization reach its goals.

Well... as long as the conversation is going down this road I had a neat idea related to a letter writing campaign... except maybe something easier like postcards... or wavecards!!! At any rate... I think the key to making an impression on any studio, Fox or Universal, would be to send them all at exactly the same time.
A studio gets thousands of letters spread over the coarse of a year and it's business as usual. A studio gets thousands of wavecards delivered all in the same day and people take notice! Or at least that's my opinion.

As for more firefly... there's still plenty to absoarb out there as demonstrated by the post a few above this one. All the commentaries and comics and games and... oh my! Seriously though... keep buying the licensed stuff! Dollar signs help!

The real great thing about the session 416 on the Serenity Collector's Edition is you can turn on the captioning and try and figure out what exactly River means by what she says.
