The thread was approaching 200, so I started a new one.
Here's the old one:

I can't think of a new ponderable right now, so y'all just talk amongst yourselves.

Ponderable: If you could go any one place for a month long vacation, where would it be?
For myself, I'd go to the British Isles. I've always loved the history there, the culture, and wanted to see and experiance all of it. England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland.. see them all.

Ok I have a ponderable...
Which Hero are you?? OK I realize that a few of you might not have discovered how great Heroes is, but for those who have...which one are you?
Much as I'd love to say Claire or that adorable girl who could persuade... I'm pretty much Jessica.

Well I know MsG says I'm more like DL, I think I'm much more like Peter.

Never watched Heroes so I'll just go with "the evil guy". There's gotta be an evil guy and I'd so be evil if I had a super power. It's not my fault that power corrupts.
MsG I feel so dirty. I went to first Sunday with the Austin browncoats and finally introduced myself to our local "browncoat famous" leader, Beth. I'd sent her emails before and talked to her on the austin message board and she was like "oh so you're Zeek *hugs*". icky hug cooties!

"Cooties"? Good lord man, learn to enjoy hugs! :D

LOL Zeek... just get used to it... we will hug you and eventually you will learn to like it...HUGS
OK in a stunning surprise moment...my email is down... what a shocker!! So sick of this crappy email system... never should have switched.

I'd go to Amsterdam for a month, hands down. I could visit other parts of Europe, but would spend the majority of my time out of my head. I think I need that.
If I had to pick a Hero that I am close to being like, it would be Claire, as I heal faster than most people I know (though I don't have her problem of a constantly regenerating hymen, thankfully). If I could pick any of them, well, obviously I'd pick Peter, because of the range of his ability. Picking specific powers, though, I think I'd prefer to have Hiro's, or maybe Micah's. Personality-wise I am a lot closer to Parkman, though, especially with his uncertainty and such.

Come on guys. Leave Zeek alone.
He will learn to love hugs when he meets the girl he can't keep his hands off of. Other than that, you can live life just fine not hugging. So sayeth Rugbug from real life experience.
Hrmmm, I don't really know which Hero I'm like. I rarely get sick, so maybe some Claire-ishness, there's some Jessica in there somewhere, and maybe a little Micah.
I'd love to have some of the new girl..Monique? It would be awesome to learn things just by watching them once.
In awesome dress news...I decided to try the craptastic department store. And, as I had posited, it was the typical assortment of dresses in the typical colors. Knowing that trying stuff on is important, I just grabbed anything that looked interesting, including one lone dress from the sales rack that seemed to be the only one of its style in the store. It was a size smaller than I would've like, but there's no harm in trying it on.
Turns out it was quite cute, so I decided to buy it...as well as another that looks okay, but is predictable. The sales rack dress had no sales price on it, so I went to the register to ask if it was indeed on sale and for what price. You could've knocked me over with a feather when the salesgirl told me. A big whopping $15. Heh. So now I will do a happy dance all week (I need to work off some calories because it's a smidge too tight). I love it when a plan comes together...or something like that.

Perfectly acceptable Zeek. I like that idea more and more as time goes on. Seems a bit of emotional safeguard is not always a bad thing. I can also see how "other" physical expression can be seperated from simple hugs.
Oh gosh. Considering a hug boycott (excluding immediate family).
Payroll day. Yay!. It's all good. Three day weekend next week. Maybe I'll get some rest. I absolutely love the idea of being out of my head for an extended vacation. Might have to join ya in happy land Jimi.
Props on the dress discovery 'Bug. It is kinda like this sweater my mom got me for Christmas two years ago. Didn't wear the thing for almost a year and that following fall I put it on due to a sudden chill. Little did I know I actually liked the gorram thing. Sitting in my chilly office wearing it right now. Who'da thunk.
Howdy everyone. Conflict with self as usual. Keep it to myself. Seems I'd be in here all day explaining.

God luck on that hon. Seems I considered a different job lately but security seems to be a big thing for me right now so the thought will have to wait for a bit. As for the Hero role, I never thought of it. Seems finishing season one is in order soon. Marvel heroes are a whole different story. I always favored Millers Daredevil. Real to a fault, product of his surroundings, total anti-hero to his core. Someone who has all the makings and reasons to be a villian but seems to stay on the side of justice with little question as to why.
Ponderance: I have struggled with a questionj lately and I wondered if anyone had some input. I stayed away (sexually)from alot of the girls I was friends with growing up. Seems I always carried guilt because of the actions of other people. I know what happened to some of them and it felt I would be taking advantage of the situation, even then. Now that they are older, a few of them are healthier, a few of them are worse, and I am still stuck in the middle. Now, there have been a few women I know nothing about leaning in my direction and that guilt has subsided. Strangely I am considering celibacy again. Is there any advice that could help me stay on the non-romp path?

The first thing and most important I think, would be WHY you are going celibate. You have to really sit and determine the reasons why you'd make that choice in the first place, make sure they are for 'good' reasons to yourself. If you have reasoned out why you want to it should be easier to keep with what you want to do.
In other words, you inspire yourself to abstain because of your own reasoned out logic. For instance that's how I finally forced my self to stop eating snacks when I can't really budget for the calories (for instance, there is bday cake here today at work, but I'm not going to have any even though I REALLY want too), or buying things I have a hungry urge for (like double bacon cheese burgers) because I finally forced my self onto the path of weight loss and exercise and since it's actually working I don't want to screw it up.
Ok, rambling reply but I hope that helps.

I don't know. Promises from the whimsical Hippie might make me put myself further in debt just for a plane ticket and pesos to travel on.
Really though it was explained to me by my buddy John that it might be beneficial to put away my weapons for a while just to be sure the right decisions can be made. Seems My only partner still wants something other than friendship from me and, yes, I do too. But there is an unhealthy patter related to both of us and the fashion at which we express our want. Just seems we are substituting one bad thing with another and that ain't good for either of us. I'm already looking about and realized that I have rejected some fine possibles for relationships and turned away a few possibles for less relationshipy sorts of things all for someone who can only commit to my lovin' and the way I lay it down. It isn't healthy and I want my friend back. So yeah MrG, I thought of why I want to go down that road. I'm not completely satisfied and want this terrible aching to subside. Seems that is a focus of mine throughout the day.

OK people I want to have some fun with a work holiday thing. We have this potluck thing where each floor brings in a bunch of food and decorates a conference room and everybody travels around the building grabbing food and checking out the decorations. Someone had the idea that this year we should make a christmas tree out of canned goods. I was to come up with the weirdest canned foods possible and bring in some of those. And to even the karma scales I'll bring a can of chunky soup for each crazy can I bring in.
Let's think up some good ones. What sort of things are pickled? I'm sure there's something good that starts with that. Creamed something or other is probably a good one too.

I'm drinkin' flavored coffee right now. It's called COFFEE! Seems our society deems it our right, no, our duty to "improve" upon the flavors set before us. Everything is so over flavored and "improved" upon these days I wonder if some people even know what their food really tastes like.
And you poor women. It is the same with alot of you. So many need not any improvement or enhancement at all. I say this because I like the way black coffee tastes. I like to taste the subtle differences between rice types. And I love the little things different about people both inwardly and outwardly. And being a man who likes appreciating the different flavors of women, AI-YA! There are so many great things about the opposite sex that there is no way to list or understand them.

High heels and slinky dresses, Tight jeans and baby t's, unmentionables that I more often than not love to hear mention of, it's all good. Folks gotta wear clothes. I'm just sayin' appreciating more than how a woman looks all gussied up is important. Appreciating a womans natural body and skin tone should be the focus. Soft spots, blemishes, stretch marks, scars... those are the things I find appealing. Can't exactly appreciate airbrushing and Photoshopping by touch now can we?

HUGS NV... you're so sweet...
Thanks MrG... maybe I should trade them in..

A: I so totally agree with NV. Wear tight clothes, stuff to make us drop our jaw, but also understand that we want to wake up next to you, not the made up you. show us messy hair, unmade up faces. It is very appealing.
B: just voted on the tv vote and saw that X-Files hit a milestone. However, the picture they had had no Mulder. Wasn't he kinda pivotal to the show?
C: Morning all. Having a Monday for a Wednesday. Hate days like that. Can I get a brain transplant?

HUGS Gorram.. well apparently, according to one of the parents of a student, there's a pill that makes you smart and she'd like us to give it to her child...

Pill. Yeah. It was the birth control pill they shoulda taken instead of creating a child they couldn't raise/teach/regulate. As for the kid, don't let them live in the fantasy. I'm confident you are a great enough person as to tell the kid the truth. But I'm sure it's your responsability (in the parents eyes) to let this kid continue in a fantasy that is not only untrue but harmful.
Oh yeah. Love the mussed hair hazy eyed grins of a happy morning.
ADD: Off to lunch. Se y'all later.

Yes it took quite a bit to tactfully explain to the parents that there was no pill to make someone smarter and that their child didn't need ritalin for her learning disability... sigh

What the heck!? MsG you're hoarding the smart pills? What gives you the right to decide who does and doesn't get smart pills? I demand a smart pill right now!
Edit: I killed the thread :-( Sorry folks. I'll let MsG keep her smart pills. Come back and talk more.

Don't get me wrong ladies. It is just nice to see a woman who they are as opposed to who other people think they should be. Of course it is always a nice surprize to complement a woman and have her reply, "I wore it for you,"
Of course, "Would you like to take it off for me?" is also a nice thing to hear.
I thought of this alot lately not just because of my appreciation of the subject (one of my very favorites, but because I realized someone could actually appreciate me. I just never fully realized how someone can fully appreciate me as a person. Mind, body, and souls seem to be split between people one at a time. Not that everything is perfect, but now I have a little more faith in the chance of ever finding it again.

Heh. Classic A-Team episode fitted for the 'verse.
Be careful with announcing the lack of ofendability. SOme take it as a challenge in these parts. Some in good fun, others...

No doubt. Why bother with the interweby thingy if something might offend. There is way too much open chance for that.
Although I wanna strangle the spammer POS that keeps e-mailing me for some BS dating site. Funny thing that set me off. A girl came into my buds shop and wanted BELLA in cursive writting across her wrist. When looking for little symbols to put at the end of it she replied, "Ooh. I want a star."
Needless to say I almost lost my temper. Bella Starr is the spammer. Coincidence? You make the call.
