Beat me to the Children of Men thing. I'm totally amazed at the character Clive Owen portrayed. I never read the book because naturally, I'm busy, tired, and a slow reader. But what amazed me about the character was his willingness to deny violence in any part. Right to the point one of the dirtbags is standing at a window and he has the chance to grab a weapon and end him, push him out the window, or sneak out. Choosing the latter he gets caught for a moment and the dirtbag gets greased for his dastardly consideration. Moments like that and that incredible denial of violence really stuck in my head and on my heart for a long time after seeing that flick. Yeah, Clive Owen will be Max Payne, but in my mind he will always have the face Theo.
S:AaB Had so many incredible moments. SOmetimes it was summed up in the few frames most folks fail to notice. Yeah, McQueen sealed his title of bad ass with me in that one, Ray Butts was one of the best sci fi tv episodes ever, but in the end when West and Hawkes face eachother and an uncertain future...
The Road Warrior. Last flight of the Falcon. Max loses his car, his gear, and (sob) his dog. You know they were all pretty much f&^%#$ when they killed his dog.

Most of my favorites have already been mentioned, except for Terminator.
"I'll be back." sent shivers up and down my spine. Other good scenes are in the disco, the self eye surgery and the end where Sarah is driving along the highway in Mexico.

I agree with many of the moments listed here.
I have a few moments from the Firefly series that get me every time. Mainly River moments. Summer is such a terrific actress.
From 'Objects in Space' (excellent writing & acting)
River: "I'll be your bounty Jubal Early"
Jubal Early to Kaylee: "Have you ever been raped?" with Jewel's reactions.
River explaining she became Serenity because she was not wanted.
From 'Safe'
River dancing. It impacts more after seeing the whole series and watching it again seeing that face of pure joy despite all the problems she has. For a short time she is lost in the joy of the moment, doing something she loves.
The new Doctor Who series has a few for me too.
Pretty much most of Rose's interaction with Pete in 'Father's Day' and Pete's decision to sacrifice himself. Resurrection and Sacrifice are always powerful story elements.
The Doctor's happiness that everyone lives at the end of 'The Doctor Dances.'
And Rose's last meeting with the Doctor at the end of 'Domesday.'
Hera7
Mechanic & Cook
"So thats where that bolt went to."

Someone mentioned "Aliens". Two of my fav lines ever from that or any sci-fi movie:
Ripley: "These people are soldiers. They're here to help."
Newt: "It won't make any difference."
In Star Trek: The Motion Picture, the fly-over of the new Enterprise with Scotty and Kirk in the shuttlecraft. Of course, the music helps tremendously!!!

Oh, and in Farscape, when a major character dies or goes thru some catastrophe, it just gets me, right here (clutches chest). Also, when Crichton meets his future daughter he'll never see, O-M-G......
Everyone dies alone.

"NOOOOOOO" and then Luke loses all control and just goes apeshit on Vader and actually beats him and slices his hand off. Luke's this close to turning to the DARK SIDE, but at the last minute decides not to. And then as Luke's getting electrocuted by the Emperor, the one tiny spark of good in Vader is brought up, and he turns on the Emperor and throws him down into the reactor. I know some people say that the STAR WARS series had already turned bad by JEDI, but I defy you to watch that moment and not get alump in your throat.
You know, when I heard that Lucas was going to go back and re-edit the originals AGAIN I was hoping that he would add Padme to that scene - Picture Vader getting up as the Emperor is electrocuting Luke. Luke is begging his father to save him, And Vader looks back and forth between his son and his master - I think it would have been cool to add Padme's spirit standing beside him pleading as well, something like "Anni, how can you let him do this to our son?" Would have made up for Lucas editing Hayden into Jedi at the end.

"You don't have to do this..." Best moment of TV last season. Best moment of the show to date, and Heroes has had way more than it's share.
Bump for "Severed Dreams." B5's best episode(honorable mention to "Passing Through Gethsemane"). Also, as a B5 fan, I dare you to try not to tear up during the last five minutes of "Sleeping in Light". I don't think it can be done.
"Angel, I'm EVIL....Just do it. Just kill me, please....".
"This child is the only good thing we've ever done together. You make sure and tell him that."
"That, you have to get. Oh, and you're welcome."
"He's just a kid.... It's okay Spiderman, we won't tell nobody."
When Bruce Willis finally decides to use his powers during the subway scene in "Unbreakable". He sees a whole bunch of wrongs that he's too late to right, and one that's so horrible that he can't help but avenge the victims.
Battlestar Pegasus takes out three(count 'em) base stars during the evacuation of New Caprica.

Don't know if its been mentioned, but one of the great sci-fi lines I think, comes towards the end of Blade Runner where Rutger Hauer is holding the dove in his hands and looks at Harrison and says "Time to die" and dies. That to me is very poignet(sp)!!!

Galaxy Quest, Sigourney Weaver: I HATE that episode!
Undocking and pushback of the ship for the first time.
Plus, the kid who has to take out the trash instead of save the Universe. This actor, although stating that he doesn't know anything about computers, is also the hero in Die Hard 4, and with Mary elizabeth Winstead are worth the admission.
Highlander - Clancy Brown: You didn't know! She didn't tell you. - Bad time to egg on the guy who's gonna cleave your azz.
Serenity - My Turn. (BDM)
And KayLee bites into the strawberry. (pilot)
Arthur with Clive Owen: The Archer takes out the guy in the tree. - They can win.
Hero, Geena Davis as Gail: Thank you for saving my life.
Dustin Hoffman as Bernie LaPlante: I don't take credit, I'm a cash kinda guy. - and then "Watch my shoes."
LOTR - Eowyn kills Witch King.
Predator, Bill Duke empties his mini-Gatling, mowing down the forest.
Star Wars Ep I or II, Yoda one-on-one light saber duel with Darth. I was in a midnight showing, the theater erupted, couldn't hear a thing for a while.
Aliens, "Bill me!" and "This little girl survived" Although Bill Paxton really had the juiciest lines in that flik.

In The Last Mimzy, when the girl finally convinces her brother that she needs him to help her save humankind.

I forgot a few...
"Looks the like the Question was right. I kill you, and then Armageddon, right on schedule."
"Behind all the sturm and batarrangs, you're just a little boy in a playsuit crying for mommy and daddy. It'd be funny if it weren't so pathetic - oh what the heck, I'll laugh anyway, HA, ha,ha,ha"
"You're not a person. You're just a weapon, grown out of one of Hamilton's petri dishes."
"Will true love conquer all? Not on my show."
