Okay, and while I'm at it since I am a B5 fan as well....
"Severed Dreams" - start to finish, unbelievable television!
and then they gave us....
"War Without End" which managed to nicely span 3 seasons of the show - cool!

Two moments that I can think off the top of my head are both from Lord of the Rings - while to me all three films in their entirety are powerful and amazing here are a few of my favorite moments.
In Two Towers when Gandalf and the Rohirrim return to Helm's Deep as the sun rises. It is that part when the score is especially beautiful with the voices singing as Gandalf rides down into the Valley and as he clashes with the Uruks there is a flash of light and the music crescendos and I get goosebumps every time.
Another is when Aragorn is given the reforged sword by Elrond. When he grasps the hilt and draws it and we follow the blade up and the music once again is amazing. I love this moment.
And in Return of the King when Eowyn saves Theoden from being eaten by the Fell Beast and then challenges the Witch King
" Fool, no man can kill me " ( okay its not exactly the quote but you get the idea)
Then Eowyn takes off her helmet and says
" I am no man" I love that part!
More later I know but for not there are these.
Once you've been in Serenity you never leave. You find a way to live in it.

If we're talking Star Trek, I can't believe no one has mentioned the Next Gen season 3 cliff hanger - Best of Both Words Part I
Riker: Mister Worf... fire!
First TV moment to make me yell out loud.

Even the littlest Joss chicks are absolutely kickass

Wanted to bump this thread with two moments.
2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY - "My God! It's full of stars!!"
DOCTOR WHO "Dalek" - When The Doctor enters the vault not knowing what's in it.
"I've come to help, I'm The Doctor."
"Dok..torrr."
"Impossible."
"THE...DOK-TORRR!!!"
And then the rest of the scene is just startling to see The Doctor showing off all these unfamiliar emotions. He goes from terrified, to taunting to downright malicious. After establishing him for five episodes as this unflappable and charmingly bizarre traveler, you see a darker side of him you'd never think possible.

"And it starts with a sentence that might last a lifetime, or it all might just go down in flames. If I let you know me, then why would you want me? Each day I don't is a shame. Each day I don't is a great shame."
Loudon Wainwright III - "Strange Weirdos" off the "Knocked Up" soundtrack

Ok heeeere we go....
1 - The Thing From Another World (1951)
a -The attack in the bunk room with the torching of the Thing.
b - The hand moving on the table with all looking on.
c - Marking out the shape of the flying saucer
d - "Keep watching the skies!" speech.
2 - The Incredible Shrinking Man closing monologue
"Scott Carey: I was continuing to shrink, to become... what? The infinitesimal? What was I? Still a human being? Or was I the man of the future? If there were other bursts of radiation, other clouds drifting across seas and continents, would other beings follow me into this vast new world? So close - the infinitesimal and the infinite. But suddenly, I knew they were really the two ends of the same concept. The unbelievably small and the unbelievably vast eventually meet - like the closing of a gigantic circle. I looked up, as if somehow I would grasp the heavens. The universe, worlds beyond number, God's silver tapestry spread across the night. And in that moment, I knew the answer to the riddle of the infinite. I had thought in terms of man's own limited dimension. I had presumed upon nature. That existence begins and ends in man's conception, not nature's. And I felt my body dwindling, melting, becoming nothing. My fears melted away. And in their place came acceptance. All this vast majesty of creation, it had to mean something. And then I meant something, too. Yes, smaller than the smallest, I meant something, too. To God, there is no zero. I still exist!
3 - The train chase from Wallace and Gromit the Wrong Trousers One of the best moments put on celluloid.
4 - Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956). Almost all of the film, but in particular from when Myles is chased out of town. True NIGHTMARE stuff!
5 - Empire Strikes Back The chase through the asteroid cloud. John William's music resonating a haunting relentless chase. Pure genuis!
6 - The Creature From The Black Lagoon The death of the creature... Sad, and moving.
7 - ]The radio play introduciton to WAR OF THE WOLRDS Orson Welles. Very creepy.
8 - Ghostbusters Montage of the Ghostbusters going across New York 'busting ghosts!' Bustin' makes me feeeel good
9 - Ace Venturer Pet Detective
a - When he enters his appartment and all the animals rush to greet him! Scenes like these are what cinema is so good at!
b - When Ace finds out that he kissed a woman who used to be a man. Hysterical!!!!
10 - Silent Running The last remnants of plant life in the solar system being tended to by Huey and Duey - two robots cast adrift on a space ship through the comsos.
11 - Sunshine - Wont spoil it as this is recent, but watch it. I think you'll know which scene.
12 -Akira
a - The creation of a universe.... ?
b - The Bike chase
c - Kaneda & Tetsuo duel outside the olympic stadium.
13 - Jason and the Argonauts The battle with Talos & the sword fight with the skeletons.
14 - Cyrano De Bergerac The whole: "At the poems end.. I hit" duel of words and sword. Classic!
15 - Starman Bringing back the deer to life.
16 -Operation Condor The final confrontation in the wind tunnel. Wonderfully cinematic
17 - Jaws opening scene plus music!
18 - SERENITY The flight past the Reavers!
ok... I could go on but I think that is enough. Just would like to acknowledge the mention of Planet of the Apes... Contender for best ending ever.

Best of show for me, would be the "Dominos" scene from V for Vendetta.
Crazyisall knows exactly why I think,
but let's just say that's one awfully powerful moment for me.
Others...
Chronicles of Riddick
Not death by teacup, exactly, but the moment RIGHT after that, when he picks up the key to a spam can, and lays THAT on the rock, and then pans to the remaining guys...
I rolled off the couch, clutching my stomach, tears rolling from my eyes laughing at that, imma warped dude, I know.
Space: Above and Beyond
Col McQueens showdown with Chiggie von Richtofen.
If you've seen it - you know.
Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz
Dorothy's speech to the people about how THEY need to stand up, and quit looking to others to do it for them.
(i'll note this speech is oddly missing in some versions.)
The Matrix
Agent Smiths "Humans are a virus speech" - I laughed sooo hard...
Escape from LA
Bangkok Rules gunfight ,Basketball game, your pick.
Firefly: War Stories
"Bastard's not gonna get days!"
Wash's finest hour, movie included.
All I could think off, off the top of my head, there.
