This is about 'Underneath'...
Select to view spoiler:
Man, at this rate, The last episode of Angel will look like the opening scene of this episode - Angel sitting alone at a desk. His dudes are dropping like flies!
I hope that he's planning on returning Lindsey and picking up Gunn at some point, or getting him back through some other means. Because...it really wouldn't be that difficult...
Did anyone catch the deal with the pile of hearts? Why did Lindsey lose a heart when he went to the cellar? It reminded me of a Zelda game. I was a bit thrown by that...
Anyways, I didn't watch the previews for the next ep - I never do - but I'll be sure to tune in. Wonder which cast member will have their soul destroyed/be abandoned in a hell(?) dimension.

It was very Prometheus-like, to my eyes. Prometheus, cursed by the gods for having given fire to man, was chained to the peak of a mountain, doomed to have an eagle devour his (liver? insides? I don't recall...) each morning but to never die. Each day, the devoured organs would regrow in his chest... but it would never lessen the pain.
"Sir, I would like to gingerly point out that it is difficult for someone to be gently reassuring when they're holding three and a half feet of sharpened steel."

Yup. I had the same reaction -- Prometheus in suburbia.

Hey guys, this is my first post here and I had to mention the episode Underneath..What the heck was that??!!?? I don't want to give anything away for those who haven't seen it, but if they end the show without resolving that, it will drive me crazy!!
Anyway,
The plus was Adam Baldwin,he is great in anything!

The other disturbing part was that Lindsey said they could only hurt you as much as you thought you deserved. Now, I think Lindsey believed he was in the right, and he *only* got his heart ripped out. Gunn gave himself up feeling like the death of Fred was all his fault...what the heck is happening to him in that basement?
Angel and the gang have to go back for him. Or perhaps they'll send their new liason to get him out. It would be too horrible to leave Gunn there forever.

Gunn does have a lot of guilt for a lot of things in this season and in past seasons...and not matter the events that occured he feels he's responsible(i.e. his sister, that professor and people from his old crew, now fred too).
"Rule of thumb? Maybe it should be rule of wrist."
