My vote is for Sean Maher! The man is talented and I heard he’s looking for a job. I could definitely picture him as the sympathetic male lead in this project. *crosses fingers for alumni casting*

Lisa Jakub.
Liesel Matthews.
Chantille Boudousque.
Anna Paquin.
Joss already knows the alums.

It's so funny that you said that because I was thinking of starting a thread on this very subject and Sean Maher was at the top of my list. Or Matthew Bomer (did I get the name right?) he was in the Chuck pilot and played Eliza's b-friend in Tru Calling and he kinda sorta looks like Sean Maher.
Also on the list, not knowing about any of the other characters obviously:
James Marsters

Nick Brendon
, or Kelly Donovan
Alexis Denisof

Amber Benson

Kristen Bell (Joss SO needs to work with her on one of HIS projects)
Jason Dohring (if Moonlight gets cancelled)
David Anders (Alias, recurring on Heroes)
Christopher Gorham (he's on Ugly Betty right now but wouldn't hate to see him leave it)
Steve Burton (from General Hospital--did I just say that? No, I DON'T want him to leave GH!!!)
Tyler Christopher (also from GH)
Ron Melendez (played a vamp on Angel; recurring on GH and GH: Night Shift)
Guess I need to add more girls huh?
The only one coming to mind right now is Amber Tamblyn, formerly of Joan of Arcadia (and Buffy and GH--sensing a theme here?).

for Joss

Notice her role name from Cellular is listed at imdb as "chilly friend" instead of cast credited "Friend with nipples"?
I thought that kinda funny. Lorenzo Lamas is soooo lame.

Yeah, definitely Sean. Guy doesn't get too much work, I notice. Unless he shows up at a convention, I just assume he's dropped off the face of the Earth.
In terms of other bits of casting, can't really think of anything off the top of my head. I like the fact that they're looking for new faces and new people outside their normal troupe. I love it when a movie or a show makes an effort to get brand new people or non-professionals for roles just to mix it up with new people. It helps you get into the show more when you're not going "Oh, it's that guy from that show. And that girl from that movie." One of the reasons that GONE BABY GONE was such a great movie was that the majority of the actors that were in the flick were either non-actors from the various Boston neighborhoods where they shot, or unfamiliar character actors in amidst all the Hollywood actors. And it made the film all that richer.
So while I'd like to see Sean do scenes with Eliza, I don't want to recognize anyone else in the series.
