Let me add, it's a sci-fi story, or as one reviewer put it: "Earth's End". If you read it, you'll like it, but I only put up a small tease.

Hello--

I read your fiction, and I must say, I'm a bit confused. Then again, that's to be expected, given the short amount of story that I can read. But, I assume it's not Firefly related... so, where's it going?

The characters, in the limited span on the posting, seem on their way to becoming fairly well fleshed out, although I never knew a guy could be a General at age 39...

You might want to add to the amount you have posted, and let the readers get more of a feel for what's going on. Obviously, something happens that renders Earth unliveable... ?

Keep the writing up, we'll read it.

I will post more, maybe, or you can just wait for the book when it's published. Like I said, just a teaser, and it's different then any end-of-the-earth book I've read before. It will suprise you, so maybe I will post more when I have a chance.

And the general thing...maybe true...maybe need to change that...and no, it's not Firefly, that's why I didn't post it here...

Don't need to change the General's age. If there is a war going on, or one just finished, it is conceivable to have a 39 year old General. Now if there hasn't been a war in say about 5 to 10 years, then yeah the General's age does need to change. Cuz, people rise in the ranks a lot faster during war time than in peace time.
