Actually, I thought you were doing quite well with Wash, Raven. However, I do understand the strife of writing a character that doesn't quite fit. I've contemplated writing Jayne in SSon's absence, but I don't quite understand the character. I might, still, but not for a bit yet.
One thing I know for certain - writing for one character is more than enough for anyone. Writing for two can tax a person a bit. Just something to keep in mind.
Oh yeah, and I'm back from the wilds of Starbuck. Did I mention that? Spent a somewhat relaxing weekend with the fam - lost a lot of sleep with the Sunrise Easter service, but what do you do? I'll catch up... eventually.

I think you're doing a fine job with Wash, Raven. He just hasn't had a lot to do right now. I'll get Kaylee up to the bridge, then Wash can talk to her about...oh, hell...whatever that problem was he found. 
Ciara, I'm sorry that RL has conspired to keep you from Inara. Hope everything works out for all parties involved. We'll be here when you get back.

Spoiled my fun by smelling it first. Wash on stims would be a kick, and I was hoping to get one good spit-take from someone. Now ZOE is going to waste the rest of the coffee (better top off my mug first) and no one will ever let MERZ make it again {sigh}

I'll miss you going, Ciara. I know I don't say it enough, but I think everyone has done great playing the parts of their character(s). Big THANKS to Raven and all who have taken on 2 roles. That is indeed something I didn't want to tackle, as I thought it over and realized how damn hard it would be. I think we have a great crew here, and everyone has been handling posting amidst life admirably.
I wish there was a way to give a standing ovation or something.

Raven: You're doing a fine job with Wash; don't worry about not having a lot to say right now - Wash generally doesn't, unless everyone's on the bridge. If you really want, we can recast - just don't let it be because you're laboring under the impression that we don't think you're doing well with it.
Merz: Sorry about that. 
I just figured that since we began this adventure with Wash in a sleep-deprived hallucination that nearly got us killed, it might be a good idea to keep him away from the stims. Perhaps Merz can catch Zoe in the hallway and divert her attention from the coffee, until someone else has... experienced... it?
